“We stayed in "the bungalow" which turned out to be much more spacious than it looks in the pictures. The bathroom is huge with a lovely spa bath that unfortunately we didn't get time to use as we were only there for one night. It was a lovely place and I only wish that we had stayed longer to enjoy it.”
“The Duke commands a prime spot in spectacular Russell. The first floor room was super comfortable and afforded a view of the neighbouring historic house and the harbour, despite being on the side of the hotel. The decor attracted favourable comments from our FB friends. The staff were all uber Freundlich and professional. We had dinner in the restaurant and this would be amongst the best fare in New Zealand. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next time we are in the Northlands!”
“We love the Duke of Marlborough, amazing spot right on the water in Russell, love that you can have a dip in the sea as soon as you walk out the front door and can then order food and drink from the outdoor tables right on the beach. The history being incorporated into the asthetic of the hotel is great and makes the rooms interesting as well making it a great place to dine. It's like going back in time. Food is excellent and we really appreciated the live music outside most evenings.”
