Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe double bed at a ridge in it which was not as comfortable as it cold have been. It was a bit of an effort to move luggage from our room in one building to the reception in another building and then through many fire doors to the car park.
The location was brilliant - easy to get to and very easy to access everything in the centre of Wellington. The facilities were very good - including the washer/drier - and the staff greeted us in a very friendly manner.

AustraliaAs I had already read, parking was very tight on the hotel carpark so I would recommend hiring a small car (we had a Rav 4). The local streets are also narrow with tight corners. As others have commented the kitchen didn't have a baking tray nor did it have a mixing bowl (only shallow cereal bowls) so we had to buy these ourselves to use during our stay. The kitchen bin was very small so we needed to call to have it emptied a lot as we were cooking there. The combined washer dryer was great to have but it was very slow and could only manage very small loads.
We received a free upgrade to the Penthouse, staff were approachable and happy to organise for our bins to emptied and tea restocked whenever we asked despite there only being weekly housekeeping. Very quiet, great location in terms of access to the city (can walk). Very clean, lots of blankets provided. Heating worked really well, all towel rails were heated as well.

United KingdomSmall kitchen bin was insufficient for food packaging and wooden furniture whilst fairly new was already past its best (eg chest of drawers not quite shutting and bubbles in veneer on table) but these are minor niggles, it was a great apartment.
Modern, clean, well equipped apartment in a central location with good views and excellent reception staff.

New ZealandSingle bed was a little too narrow for second person and had a dip in the mattress. Substitute coffee pods did not work all the time in the Nespresso machine - went through a few.
Location was excellent ... and quiet, two bedrooms, spacious layout, facilities, awesome friendly, helpful, responsive staff.

We were there over the Easter break, location was quiet with a church across the street, room was adequately appointed, and the bed we thought was nice softer than we have at home.

United KingdomShort steep road was a little tricky to navigate with heavy luggage.
I booked a North Executive studio. Lovely space with great facilities. Nice modern bathroom. Clean linen and towels. Great view from small balcony area - building is currently having exterior works on adjacent rooms so I didn’t use the balcony area. Located very centrally. Reception team was very helpful during my stay. Good value.

New ZealandA minor complaint only - the chairs around the dining table could be a little more comfortable :)
nice little apartment, view onto the church across the road and towards Willis Street. We walked everywhere. Windows are double glazed and we heard very little road noise. Comfy bed and nice little kitchenette. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Several nice Cafes just around the corner.
