The view was phenomenal!! The cottage adorable. And, the fact that there was a washer and dryer on site was the best. I guess I was so excited about the washer/dryer that I didn’t realize there was no microwave in the Miro cottage. All good though, we went to the next cottage and used theirs.

The Hut is cozy and has all needed for a quiet stay, it is in a great location, close to the Scenic Reserve and to Pancakes Rock. Is a very good value for money and owners have great sense of style. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved everything about Miro Cottage! Stunning sea views and location, spacious room with attention to every detail, beautiful king-size comfy bed, quality bathroom products to use... Thankyou for our third stay @ Hydrangea Cottages and we'll be back again.

I miss not having access to an oven.

I could see and hear the sea from the apartment. Lots of space inside and somewhere to park the car nearby. It felt very private and was very close to the pancake rocks and blowholes.

No AC, typically NZ style, but climate change may affect summers. Cool enough at night with radiator provided. Toilet/bathroom has a weird shape

Each hut is separated so not too much noise, next to a highway but traffic is reduced at night. Quite a bit away from town so its possible to see stars at night if you go out

Nothing apart from one little complaint - the tea mugs were both chipped and one was dirty. Not a good start to an otherwise great stay, and it got a lot better after that

Booking.com said it had a washer and tumble dryer which is partly why we booked. However these were in a separate small building and shared by all the cottages and apartments. Not what we expected or wanted. Disappointed.

Wifi is bit slow.

Little cottage with charm and character, especially the outdoor bath. Equipped with everything we needed. Easy walk to the Pancake Rocks and center. The main road is not an issue. Bear in mind there are no grocery stores in Punakaiki, so bring your own supplies.

Good location (on hwy 6 but road noise not a problem), walking distance (10 mins) to Pancake Rocks, lovely little hut with character containing all the essentials we needed (coffee and milk!)

Keys were accessed through a lock box - very easy! Arrived to the sun setting and immediately ran the outdoor bath, I don't think I could dream of a more idilic space. The bed was stupidly comfortable, surfaces clean, bathroom was immaculate. A friendly tui kept me company through my stay, really would recommend! Can imagine even if it was pouring it down with rain it would be a little haven.

the unit behind us was very noisy and easily heard through the walls. needs some sound proofing. the neighbours banged on walls in kitchen a lot.

great central location to all facilities in town. short walk to the beach. the owners were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom is inside building and very clean and accessible with lovely shower and toilet. lovely gardens to sit in and barbecue to use if you wanted.
