Located in the centre of Murchison is this gem. Lovely clean and warm cabin in a mini bush setting. Trampoline, tree swing, out door kitchen, games and our cabin (tūī) had its own little brazier for our use. We had a lovely time make a fire roasting marshmallows and making smores. Would stay again if passing through.

It could have been a bit better stocked with things. I’ve found motor lodges to be better stocked. It felt cold in the morning, despite it only being in March (maybe that was a one off). The Wi-Fi was not great. Indeed I ended up hotspotting my laptop through my phone to get a better signal.

It was a nice two bedroom place with some garden. I can’t really find much fault with the property, it’s more Murchison. Basically I’m not even sure why the place is there. I guess you need to be into walking/biking or river stuff. Otherwise there is little point in staying. If you are going to stay then this place is ok. Though I struggle to think of something that makes it great.

A tranquil setting with private garden and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The unit had plenty of space for our family, thank you!

Didn't see the proprietor. The cleaning lady was really good and very helpful. Sad there was no microwave but we managed with a well used frypan.

The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. The cleaning lady was really good and very helpful. The birdlife was amazing.

Being welcomed by the owner who then let us park the motorcycle on the grass in front of the room via a footpath. Excellent BBQ under trees out the back , with shops within walking distance. Great place will stay again hopefully.

It would be good if the key code was sent the night before when I had wifiin previous accommodation, but there were staff around anyway.

Good spot off the main road. Lovely garden setting with outdoor seating, well set up BBQ and shady trees.

We arrived on the wrong date, yet Arran went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had a comfortable stay. After a very long day of driving, we were most appreciative of his warm hospitality and look forward to returning and spending more time exploring the area.

The only thing was there were no insect screens on the windows so they had to be closed in the evening to keep the mossies out.

Really liked the location, love Murchison. The cabin was very good in that there was plenty of room & well layed out. The kitchen, bathroom, lounge were all large enough, the bedrooms were also large enough with comfortable beds. The owner was very friendly & super helpfull with riding advice, local weather & mtb bike set up.

Staying in the Tūī cottage was like staying at your friend's place. It was comfortable, spacious, had a full kitchen (with more than two of everything), a private garden with a brazier, and board games, magazines and books inside. The bathroom had room for our toiletries too, which is a real plus. Arran, our host, was super friendly and easygoing.

The dishes, especially the frypan and the chopping board, were really greasy. I had to wash and scrub them a lot before using.

The room, which was actually a cabin, was awesome. A really nice lounge with some games, a kitchen and a deck with the garden view. Two bedrooms. Plenty of seating space for an outside meal in the evening or morning sun. My 3yo really enjoyed the trampoline and some balls in the garden. Check-in was super easy with the key hidden in a box with the code which the owner had texted me that morning.
