Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeHotel feels slightly old. Buffet breakfast has a good variety but fruit was not fresh (melon over ripe and tasted fermented).
Comfortable room. We loved the dining and sitting area in the suite. Great views.

Great stay. Excellent value for money. Service was quick and friendly. Loved the chocolate hour and loved that it’s free. Comfortable beds. Everything that I needed in the room. Amazing buffet breakfast with everything I could want to eat and more. Would definitely come again.

New ZealandMy partner left a new shirt in the wardrobe and when he contacted the team they said it wasn’t there. It was a gift and has sentimental value. Also it was a hike from the city. And we could hear chairs scraping above us from the bar or restaurant.
Nice staff and decor

United States of AmericaFood was OK, not great at the restaurant. The Meat in the Beef Cheeks was mainly fat. There was very little meat to actually eat. Very disappointing. Finally the lighting in the room is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS. at night when you get up to use the bathroom the switch on the outside wall of the bathroom has to be turned on in order to have the lights in the bathroom go on. When you flip that switch the light over the door goes on and wakes everyone up in the room. WTF??????????????????????
great beds,

New ZealandWe loved the friendly greeting from staff who were accommodating and very helpful. We were able to book in early whivh was massive gor us as we were really tired. Our room was clean and comfortable...and really nice. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and the hotel had everything we wanted and needed. The afternoon chockie hour was a hit for my son and I and we enjoyed chatting with other guests. We used the gym, sauna and pool facilities to work off the chocolate and loved the robes and bathroom by the pool to use afterwards. There was an abundance of towels which was really great. In the morning we loved the buffet breakfast which was included in the price. We have already recommended the hotel to our family and friends and are looking forward to booking again in the future. Thankhou for exceeding our expectations. Rochelle and Eli Montgomery

New ZealandNone to note 😊
Everything, from the moment we were welcomed for our stay, staff were friendly, professional and polite, chocolate hour was a fun bonus, and a funny moment was realising we had used first table for the restaurant of the actual hotel bonus points for not having to walk up and down that hill to Cuba st again, reminding me I need to get fitter 😂

New ZealandThe room was pricey for the night because a festival was on. The interconnecting doors made it easy to hear others. Our room was near the pool and smelled a bit like chlorine.
Great location, the chocolate hour...wow! Lovely to receive a complimentary drink on arrival. Good pool and sauna, gym and comfortable rooms, beds. Friendly staff.

United KingdomEverything about Mövenpick Hotel was fabulous. The breakfast selection was great and the chocolate hour was the absolute highlight of my days in Wellington. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful with any queries I had. Additionally, the lift going to street level was a very handy thing to have access to.

New ZealandChocolate hour was great for the kids but didn't match the luxury vibe of the hotel (marshmallows and chocolate cake from the wholesaler, grainy chocolates, etc). Similarly the sundaes which were not as good as the Duck Island (NZ brand) sundaes served for half the price a couple of blocks away. Our corner room was extremely noisy next to the 'VIP' lift.
Great facilities, gym was tidy and well equipped and the pool was fantastic. Spacious family-sized room for the three of us, clean, super comfortable beds and lovely bathroom.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been a bit better- some fresh fruit would have helped it. Wait staff very pleasant and obliging though
The location of the hotel was good- an easy walk to Cuba Street with a hotel lift to help out with the hill. We were welcomed by reception and parking valet who were very efficient. Chocolate feast in the afternoon looked great - we arrived late but enjoyed the chocolate fountain nonetheless. Our room was very comfortable.
