Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandIt was very overpriced as all hotel options that weekend were in Auckland for Pink. I would never pay that much to stay again. It was comfortable but I won't rush back. We had a drink in the lobby bar, it was terrible and non of us finished our drinks.
We had a lovely comfortable stay here the night of the Pink concert. The location was handy for a girls long lunch and quick transport to and from the concert. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Slightly bigger than your standard hotel room with some seating in the room which was nice. Bedding was lush and room was spotless and clean. Check in was quick and easy and valet parking was wonderful, hotel was busy and collecting our car did take some time so call ahead if this is you. Staff were friendly.

New ZealandOur room was next to a rooftop bar so the music was very loud for majority of the night on both nights we were there

AustraliaRoom generally too warm even with AC on lowest setting. BOSE speakers with TV unnecessary in small room. Couldn’t turn off independently. Followed instructions to turn TV on without BOSE and this didn’t work. Even with BOSE on, volume buttons seem disengaged.
Decor and presentation. Well furnished. Great CBD location (this was our choice).

New ZealandTwo single beds I'm sure that isn't what I booked. Time for restaurant to get over use of balsamic glaze on food. Out dated. Baggage attendance a bit rude.. I dropped off bag early and they wouldn't give me a stub.
Bed was super comfy. Rainfall shower. I had read reviews about noise but it wasn't an issue for me. 11am checkout.

New ZealandThe only downside was the checking in time it took, very slow and manual...probably waited for at least 40 minutes in line for one other group at 2pm... I'm not sure if they were upgrading to a new system but it was still all in paper file system
Excellent place location wise for nightlife, dining and train station

United KingdomA directional sign to the main reception would be useful in the foyer. Would be better with a more few shelves in the room to store clothes. Quirky setup in the bathroom with an opaque glass sliding door between shower and toilet.
Room was well decorated with a very comfy bed. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food and beverages. Location is good to see various tourist attractions nearby.

AustraliaThe valet parking worked well for us but it adds a reasonable amount to the costs. We'd avoid the bar in future - the food was ok and the drinks fine, but they started setting up for breakfast at 7:30pm when we and others were still eating dinner. Nothing like cornflakes on the bar to kill the mood.
Fairly standard city hotel room - a reasonable size but longer and narrower than most. Clean and well appointed including a coffee machine, Reception and concierge staff were friendly and helpful. Well located in the middle of Auckland.

New ZealandThe room was quite small and the "windows" could not open and were frosted making it impossible to see out. There was also no natural light as the windows seemed to face a concrete wall. The was no iron in the room and the elevators can only be described as dodgy (when they were working). Check-in/check-out staff seemed a bit cold. For the price of this hotel you would expect these avoidable issues to not be present.
The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also in a great location near the main station, we were able to walk everywhere. We liked the teapot and teacups and there were plenty of tea options to choose from. Room was modern and we were able to check in an hour early. Read lots of negative reviews about noise but we happened to stay on the two nights that the nightclub was shut next door. I can imagine this being a big issue on other nights. Room came with earplugs, luckily we didn't need to use these.

United KingdomWelcome luggage desk was frantic and rushed, luggage was just left in the entranceway which doesn't seem very secure. It was quite a stressful welcome. Don't get a room without a window - feels like a storage cupboard. If we were in Auckland again we'd probably save the money and opt for elsewhere.
Large comfy bed, great shower and bathroom facilities. Incredible location, highly recommend Remedy coffee down the road.

United States of AmericaOnly issue that came up during our stay was needing an early checkout (before 6am). It seemed as if the staff at the desk had stepped away, so we had to leave a note on the desk with the keycard. We noticed there was another room that had to do the same. Not a big deal as things happen, but I was worried for a minute if we could even do that. It seemed to have worked out, though!
Very nice hotel with courteous staff and ample space in the room. The location was great for exploring Auckland CBD. It was the perfect spot for the start of a 3 week journey to give us an excellent night's sleep. Wifi worked extremely well, too!

New ZealandThe room was claustrophobic, a small window hidden by the wardrobe. The room was also quite smelly, more noticeable on return to the room - smells of food.
The bed was super comfortable. The hotel was close proximity to Britomart, cafes, shopping mall.

New ZealandMini bar prices were outrageous. The waitress you had on breakfast on Sunday morning very much let the entire experience down. Didn’t speak English. If we asked a question she said she didn’t know and walked away from the table. Passed plates across one the table right in front and one others on the table. Coffees were and breakfast were very slow. Check out was a shambles with queues of guests all over reception. Up until Sunday morning service and accommodation was impeccable. Sunday morning (particularly the waiters (who really didn’t seem to care) Let it all down.
Loved the little touches like the tea pots and cups. Room was really clean and bed was super comfortable. Bar staff were excellent on the Saturday afternoon when we arrived. As were the check in staff and concierge staff.
