Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PanamaExcellent location on the Chagres River. Watching the sunset and sunrise from my hammock on the room’s balcony is always special.

United KingdomFood could have been better. Evening buffet not ideal. Small amount of options for healthy food in the alternative restaurant. Not everyone wants a buffet.

SpainFood choices for lunch and breakfast are very limited and for the price they charge… Unfortunately you have no choice as there is literally nowhere else you can eat. We tried the main restaurant a couple of times and then ended up using the snack bar by reception. The rooms are big and nicely decorated area. However my husband and I had a freshly repaired room whereas our kids who were given a room three doors from ours had a much worse room that definitely needs to be redone asap. One of the buildings looks completely run done but I think they don’t use in so maybe just don’t have the funds to take care of it. Still does ruin the impression a little bit when you walk by…
This hotel is located inside the natural reserve park and the views from the rooms are absolutely unbeaten. OMG you can just spend your entire stay at the terrace in the hammock and be feeling blessed. The hotel offers a short 30 mins night safari included in your stay and we went out every night - only saw some caymans, coati and several bird species but it was fun! We did all the activities they offer including visits to the sloth sanctuary which is basically part of the hotel but they charge you extra for that. There are five sloths in total - you only get to see two. We loved the areal team activity and the boat ride to the monkey island also was a nice thing to do. A good thing is they let us do all those activities with the same ticket in two days not in one as it is supposed to be normally - it is too much for one day!

United KingdomOverpriced drinks. Bad tours. Missed opportunity, it would be a resort I'd be happy to spend a week at if they offered nice, well priced (or maybe included) tours and recommended DIY walks + if the all inclusive was better value.
Amazing view. Great pools. Breakfast etc better than I expected based on reviews. Food was OK.

Breakfast is always good, at times tour groups can make it crowded. The rooms are usually fine, but location of your room is important.

United States of AmericaThe pool area is very nice and has a lot of potential. It needs a bit of TLC. It shows some wear and tear in places. It is a big pool with lots of loungers BUT pool staff leave at 5 pm. We wanted to swim then but there were no clean towels just a pile of used towels. We ended up bringing our room towels down. Also we would have enjoyed a beverage at the pool bar which was then also closed and left in disarray . I think there must not be enough staff.
Amazing location. Grounds well maintained. Beautiful views from balcony. Friendly staff. Well organized tours with knowledgeable tour guides. Lovely walks into rainforest from the property. Plenty of birds and critters to spot. Food was varied and high quality. Restaurant also boasts a lovely view.

United KingdomThe rooms do need a bit of updating but nothing serious. The pipeline birding tour at $80 is a bit expensive and you are better off spotting wildlife in the grounds of the hotel in the evening and on the Chunga trail.
The rooms are spacious and face the river and the huge pool is beautiful in a tropical setting and with a great bar but does close at 5.30pm. There is a buffet restaurant and food at the bar which is good value. There are a whole variety of tours to choose from and the free local Chunga trail is excellent. The boat trip to Lake Gatun is very good and monkeys actually board the boat.

BelgiumHotel and rooms (especially bathroom) needs some updating. No airco in the reception area. Limited dining opportunities and rather on an expensive side (including in a pool bar).
The location is the main advantage, in the rainforest with many birds just outside your window. Big room with beautiful view and a hammock is a bonus. Nice and free evening 30 min safari. Good pool with a bar. Good walk around the huge property.

United KingdomFelt a bit like a package tour hotel at times and the tours they offered weren’t great value. Recommend going down to lake (4 mins walk) and organising your own tours out to monkey island and the canal for half the price.
Location was amazing, you can walk right into rain forest. Right near the lake that goes into canal, stunning g views from our room, the deserted village right near by, the free night tours. Rain forest at your doorstep.

United KingdomStaff in restaurant could be curt. Had to pay as you go, couldn’t charge to room. Lots of groups, cruises turn up using facilities. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7 and tours can start same time. Grounds a bit tired. Tours expensive. Price of food and drink expensive, essentially a monopoly so $5 + tax for small can of beer most ever paid in whole of Panama. There are hiking trails but no map to show them, we just wandered all over anyway.
Location was good, large room, comfy bed, great views, free night drive,

United KingdomThe food is quite expensive for what it is, the buffet items are good if you happen to like what's on offer but can occasionally feel short-changed. The fruit selection at breakfast is great, as are salad choices at dinner. The monkey bar is a very reasonably priced alternative to the buffet. Travel to and from... book an Uber the day before you want to leave to avoid long waits, it'll cost more, but it's guaranteed. Sat/Sun there are a few cars available if you're lucky, but weekdays we struggled to book anything and paid over the odds for a tour guide when we only wanted a taxi.
The location and style of the building were amazing. The pool was great and waking up to Howler Monkeys over the lake and aguti/humming birds in the grounds was great. On site activities were good, a little expensive but people are paying to do the same thing on a day trip from panama with a $50 transfer fee. Walking down to the local village is worth the 30 mins as the wildlife around the abandoned building is cool and you can visit the spots on the free night tour with greater leisure(particularly cayman/turtle pond).
