Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Would have been nice to have coffee making facilities
Nice and centrally located hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Nice shower with excellent water pressure. Food was great, basic but very nice breakfast. Loved the historical touches throughout the hotel.

I have mostly enjoyed the pool and outdoor restaurant/grill. The staff was very polite and friendly.

There was some load music that I could hear into the night that kind of kept me awake.
The staff were amazing! So helpful. Our airline lost some Of our luggage and the staff really tried to help. They also help make arrangements for transportation.

The bar by the pool wasn't open
It was a nice older hotel with great history of the area. good neighboorhood and walking for food and necessities. The food in the restaurant was great and the service and staff were great.

Food was good but service slow
The old hotel had a split AC . Much quieter that the old window units. Sleeping was easy. I loved the huge swimming pool, very clean !

Noise from nearby club at night - but we were moved to a room not affected by the noise (and when we returned, they made sure we had a room that was not affected)

We could easily hear the person next to us who for some reason was talking or had his television on all night long. The doorman/bellhop/Security were incredibly unfriendly.
The building was beautiful and the rooms were a very good size. We had a mini refrigerator with a freezer that actually worked to keep ice frozen.

Apart from the noise from a nearby club (which wasn't loud, just irritating), I did not find anything I really didn't like. It helps the hotel, opened in 1945, has style and character you only find in older hotels
Ample breakfast, with variety of offerings. We had to change room due to noise from nearby club, with no problem. The next stay (a few days later) the hotel made sure we were away from such problems, with a room overlooking the courtyard and pool

The breakfast wasn't really breathtaking, but basic and ok. There was a lot of noise by other guest, from the pool and the corridor, but also the walls do not seem to be very sound-insulated.
The hotel itself is rather old (at least the part we were staying in) but well-kept. Our room was large, with two beds. We didn't miss anything. The staff was friendly and ready to help. It was great you can get towles for the pool - whitch by the way is pretty large.

Corridor was very noisy, echoy, there was barely any sound insulation, we got woken up multiple times Only one pillow size: very tall and thick, for those not used to it very uncomfortable Lighting in the room was very cool, blue lights, and created zero ambiance No hand towel was provided There is so much good coffee in Panama, I would expect better quality at breakfast, or at least a light and dark roast option. The historic building is very interesting, but the decor is dated
Location, airport shuttle, breakfast, courteous and helpful staff. The room was very large, lots of storage space and surfaces to pack on. There were 2 restaurants available on site, and while we didn't end up using the swimming pool or gym it was good to have the option.

Could use a like more rejuvenation but hotel is in good shap for its age
