Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaGot stuck in the elevator the first day. Food on the property was expensive (if you chose not to do all inclusive). Staff made it hard to book a spa appointment and ended up leaving without going to the spa.
Staff was nice, room was nice.

GermanyTo Serve plastic cubs at the Pool should be forbidden they fly in the Pool. Also at the breakfast you can choose to take Plastik cups instead of glasses, which shouldn't be done nowadays.
Nice rooms but slightly overpriced. This results from all the Americans who dominate the hotel

United States of AmericaThe hotel is close to the city, yet very isolated from the surrounding area of Veracruz where I understand there are some good places to eat. One of the pools on the far end was not maintained and it was quite unsightly. Panama has many beautiful beaches, the beach at Playa Bonita was not one of them.

ColombiaThe front desk staff could be more polite.
The property's best feature is its location, in front of the Pacific Ocean, which offers a magnificent view of the Panama Canal ship entrance. It is a well-maintained, clean, beautiful, and spacious building surrounded by nature with everything needed to stay relaxed. Having visited the venue several times, I can affirm that it is the best option for a beach hotel near Panama City. It suits families, couples, or lonely, leisure or business travel.

BrazilMy sister and I are both retired teachers. In Panama, almost every sale or service give you a discount (sizeable) if you are retired. The recepcionist of the hotel, however, said that because the booking was made by the site of Booking.com, we were not entitled to the discount. I found this affirmation unfair but thete was nothing we could do.
Everything, except the discount in the daily fare that I was entitled to have as a retired person.

United States of AmericaRooms were not clean deeply. Pools were dirty and you can see the mold on the top of the water line besides greenish mold on the filters. Food sometimes was great, other days was poor. When they have Mexican food day it cannot be compare from real Mexican food in Mexico because it lacks some real flavors.
According to the culture you come from it's how your experience will be. For example, I come from a Hispanic culture, but live in USA, therefore I understood many of the not excellent services, but at the same time expected the same cleanliness than in a Westin at the USA. Lobby was super clean and the staff at the lobby and at the buffet was pretty nice and good. However, the pools were all the time dirty. I had to talk to someone to clean the kids pool because not only had debris from trees around which I get it, but also broken shells, napkins from the day before, plastic cups and broken pieces from the pool floor which cut my little one's knee. I have to say that Isaias was quick and nice cleaning the blood on my daughter's knee and making her feel better. He took great care of this accident. Food was not great and we expected more Panamà's dishes though I have to say we love sancocho and yucca cream. I personally want more beans and vegetarian dishes. I wanted to eat lobster and headed to the Asiana restaurant where we had an excellent experience on Christmas' eve. Well, my lobster came too late and one of the 2 pieces was rotten. Awful smell and meat color. I told the waitress and she was not even surprised. She told us, " ok I will let the chef know." What??? It's an expensive destination without an excellent overall service. I want to add that the moldy smell anyone can feel around the halls in the rooms area may come from the river around the hotel, puddles around and humidity. Also, on the beach it's better to bring water shoes because there are many shells. To get a sandy spot in the water in the afternoon the best place it's between the Westin Playa Bonita and the Drem Westin Hotel. Tours are way too expensive. However, I recommend Alex, a nice and great heart taxi driver who is almost always outside the hotel. His taxi owner works for the hotel.

United KingdomFood at the hotel was poor with almost no vegetarian options compared to meat options. Also, the service in the Asiana restaurant was terrible. We had to serve ourselves and go inside to order our food and drinks and help ourselves to water. Our meal took ages and at least three times the waiter forgot our order. We had to go into the adjacent steakhouse to get service. Way too much single-use plastic was used throughout the hotel. Finally, we paid extra for the lounge which was supposed to be child-free in the evenings but this wasn't enforced so it was often noisy with children running around.
Our suite was enormous and the views over the ocean were fantastic. The staff were generally accommodating and friendly, particularly at the front desk. The room was quiet and clean and the lounge was excellent. The pool area was generally nice.
