Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomThe property was perfect for us.
There was a lot to like about the property - the location was amazing, situated in the pretty San Blas area allowing for an easy walk to points of interest (main square, panoramic view points, San Pedro market). The property itself was lovely with it’s decor giving off old fashion ranch vibes - wooden furniture, old ceiling beams and exposed floorboards. The staff were amazing. So helpful and caring, making the effort to ensure everything was OK and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was great; a continental offering with eggs, hams, bread, avocado and cereals and plenty of nice juices.

United KingdomWe would have preferred a room higher up to see the lights of the city. Also, if you are just arriving in Cusco without acclimatising to the altitude, please get a cab to the hotel - its up a hill and you will likely get out of breath and dizzy!
The other reviews comment upon the high level of service in this nice hotel - we absolutely agree. The owners couldn't be more helpful. Nice room and a nice buffet breakfast.

United KingdomLoved our room! Was comfortable, nice size and very quiet. We had the ‘spacious double’ for three nights and then had another night in a regular double after a multi day hike which was also comfortable. The spacious room was our preference. The staff was helpful, breakfast tasty and it’s in a good location, near nice restaurants / cafes and close enough to the main square for ease but far enough away for a peaceful sleep / rest. My husband loved having a TV with good channels and could even watch a football game from the UK!

United KingdomAll good.
The hotel is in a great location just over 10 minutes walk from the main square. There are lots of restaurants nearby (including Jack’s Cafe) and dozens of small shops selling toiletries groceries etc. All the staff were delightful. We loved our room which was charming, slightly quirky and overlooked the street with a (very) small balcony so had natural light. However, some rooms look onto the inner courtyard with no outer window, so worth checking when you book.

United States of AmericaThe best part of my stay was the friendly staff, especially Rosa. She provided me with helpful hints on where to find the best-roasted chicken and where to shop for jewelry for my wife and daughters. Perhaps it was the altitude, but the view of the Cusco hills from my room always left me breathless.

United KingdomThe only little annoyance was the squeaky flooring in the room just above me. One night those folks got up at 4 am and woke me up just walking around and squeaking :D
An excellent hotel. A spacious room which despite overlooking the road turned out to be very quiet. Very friendly staff at the reception and at breakfast. Felt really welcome. The breakfast is all fresh staff and made to order eggs - really healthy and filling.

NetherlandsThis was the best hotel we stayed during our one month trip in South America. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Location is great, close to everything yet quiet. Spectacular staff, very nice people that made our stay unforgettable. They saw my wife’s birthday on her document and made a surprise birthday cake which was very thoughtful. I can not recommend this hotel enough.

CanadaI can't think of any :)
The staff was very friendly and they were able to accommodate a last minute request. The breakfast is good and we ordered dinner one day and it was delicious. The facilities are good and cute and you have a little patio on the 4th floor with views. They have heaters which made us stay so cozy in as we have been in many other accommodation in Peru and that's not common to have. Temperatures can change very drastically in Cusco and can be very chilly at night. Location was good also, quite area and close to plaza de armas.

CanadaNot all rooms have windows to the outside (only to the inner patio), so I asked them to please give one to us, which they kindly did. There is no mini fridge in the hotel, which would be nice. But honestly these are very little things that didn't bother me.
This hotel was awesome. The rooms are spacious, very clean, bed is comfortable. It was also surprisingly quite when we were there, maybe because it was a low season. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, wifi worked perfectly, hotel is close to everything, breakfast is decent, you can ask to pack it to go if you leave to the airport or to a tour. Ask for a room with a window (not all of them have it, some only have windows to the inside of the patio). Highly recommended

Czech RepublicJust the bread for the breakfast could be better (but that's the issue at almost all the Peruvian hotels we stayed at :).
Great location: quiet, but also very close to Plaza de Armas, artisian market & fabulous Jack's bistro :). The staff members were very kind and kept asking all the time, whether everything was fine. And also the variety of fresh fruit at the breakfast table - amazing!

United States of AmericaThe location is amazing, it is not noisy, my windows (small balcony) looked at the road, and I could barely hear the cars. The staff is exceptional, they are so genuinely friendly and helpful. They all speak good English, and always there to help you. Hotell is clean, and rooms are as well. It was not cold, very comfortable. Breakfast had everything you needed. The chef was always there to cook omelette or any other type of eggs you want. 24/7 you have tea facilities in the reception and staff constantly replenish it. Important facts that it is very safe.

CanadaThings that could be improved or I didn’t quite like: - Noise: like most “hotels” that aren’t the typical hotel style with cement walls and soundproofing, this one can be noisy. Depending where your room is, you might hear people in the lobby (entrance, check in, check out, breakfast etc). Also, you can hear a lot people above your room, either it’s walking or any decent noise; - Breakfast: for an hotel in that range, breakfast was not living to the expectations. Quite simple and not elaborate. I mean, it’s alright, but like I said, for that range and that price, it’s overrated. I’ve had way better breakfast from hotel under 50$ CAD a night; - Main door: this is just annoying, but at the same time very secure. The main door is always looked, they have to buzz you in and out. A little annoying when you like to just go out and come in as you wish without having to notice the whole hotel sometimes by ringing the bell. That being said, I never used it, there’s always someone at the main desk. You can just knock in the window/door and they’ll open you.
Overall, it was the best hotel I’ve stayed in Peru so far. Not perfect, obviously, but very good. Please note that I don’t stay in fancy hotels or anything expensive. So, considering that, for the price, being the most expensive hotel I’ve stayed at … it’s a really good option and excellent value for the price. What I liked: - The staff is very helpful and will always make sure you have everything you need; - The location for me: it’s a little bit off Plaza de Armas, but still close, so you’re not in the hassle of the touristic hub, but still very close enough. It’s quieter and you don’t have to walk the whole set of stairs to reach the hotel, so it’s alright for people with bigger luggages. Carry-on, well, we know anywhere doesn’t matter; - Comfortable & clean: by far the most comfortable beds and clean rooms of my stay in Peru; - Charming: the hotel has some charm to it and is quite nice; - Close to everything you need; there are many good restaurants and shop close by. The type of restaurants that are less touristic and undervalued, which I prefer.
