Didnot like size of room, bathroom looked run down

I had a king executive room, no different to other rooms, bathroom wasn't very clean, the door to room was not fully secure.

Check In definitely needs improvement. The clerk and his supervisor need basic training in handling senior citizens.. missing curtesy and insensitive to hotel guests .

Occasional smell of cigarettes in corridors. Pool area is a little tired, overhead electric main line an obvious hazard.

Hotel security is excellent. Check in was quick. Lobby is very grand. Staff are very polite and helpful. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Complimentary water and fruit in rooms.

The rooms are comfortable but on the smaller size and the decor is bit dated. A facelift will make it a more attractive proposition. The bathroom's also need to be upgraded. The Pakistani food available at Bokhara restaurant was overall average with the serving staff not coming across as very professional. The hotel bakery had very limited selection while I had expected more, it being part of a very reputable hotel chain.

The hotel staff were amazingly courteous, professional and helpful. Due to an extended stay I had a number of interactions with various members of the hotel team. I must mention front office team members Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Aiman, Ms. Rameeza and Mr. Hameed. They are all exceptional professionals with very pleasant personalities and great energy levels. In conversations they came across as well educated, cultured and knowledgeable. Having stayed at hotels all over the world these ladies and gentleman compare favourably with any international hospitality professionals. All of them are a credit to their establishment. The other good thing was the quality of food and service at the Tai-pan Chinese restaurant. The restaurant staff took obvious pleasure in serving me and were very knowledgeable about the dishes being served. The location of the hotel is a very convenient one, with good communication connections to rest of Rawalpindi and main Islamabad.

- Initially they put us up in the third floor, which we were not told was a smoking floor until we complained for a third time about smelling cigarette smoke. It was very uncomfortable and frustrating. They then offered to move us to the fifth floor (non-smoking floor) and into a much nicer and cleaner room. It had a nicer view and even a smart TV. It would have been nice to be told ahead of time that they would be putting us on the smoking floor so that we could opt out. - The hardware in the bathrooms were not clean, and neither were the carpets.

- The hotel staff are absolutely lovely, very professional and courteous. From the bell hops to the cleaners to the receptionists, everyone was very welcoming and kind. - The breakfast and dinner we had were both great. They even gave us a voucher for one free lunch or dinner because we booked using Booking.com! - We were there for a wedding, and the food they served at the event was amazing.

There were some issues with cleanliness. The room was decent, but the bathroom was quite old (and dusty). The bathtub was not well-kept and chipped off in several places. The bed was pretty old and the mattress/pillows werent as comfortable as is usual.

The staff was pleasant and overall the experience was seamless and smooth.

Will look at maybe another hotel next time when staying in islamabad. Was looking to join their privilege club but glad I didn't do so as yet. for a highly rated hotel, facilities are showing signs of age and wear. needs renovation. even the “recently updated” rooms were lacking quality finishing touches like latches that close properly and stuck sliding doors.

good location and security. Very nice grounds and evening restaurant buffet was superb. polite and attentive staff.
