Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWe reserved a room for the family to spend the night an hour before arrival, we received confirmation that everything is ok. We arrive at 24:00, I meet at the reception by the owner who is drunk and speaks only Polish. I show him the reservation information, and he says no, no, there is no reservation, and shows me a handwritten list on a piece of paper. Somehow finally we did manage to agree on a room because we had only few hours for a sleep left. I signed the agreement, I paid and started waiting for the key. 5 min., 10..15..20.. My children started to sleep standing already.. Unfortunately, "thanks" to the alcohol, the owner barely managed to find the right key. Finally he found it.. Our sleep time was reduced by almost an hour from the time we arrived at the reception.. So we had not very nice impression about this hotel.. Sadly.. Because on the outside it looks amazing. But honestly - in the inside it me reminds like an old hospital. Everywhere was dark, it smells bad, and it was not clean sadly.. the bed cover was covered with white spots, we didn't even wanted to touch it.. We left early and tired.. This is very sad that such an amazing place on the outside is neglected and not properly maintained... we were disapointed totally. If there would be an opportunity to choose another hotel - believe me - we would choose. But at that weekend there was no hotel rooms left anywhere 100 km in all directions..
Thank you to the administrator in the morning that met us with the smile and explained all the information about my rezervation.. That was the only advantage..

United KingdomThe hotel, while clean, was extremely run down and old. The room itself was pretty manky. The breakfast wasn’t good at all. Extremely poor value for money.
A convenient location for visiting Stalag Luft III. The room was clean (but really old and worn).

United KingdomClearly in need of some TLC and updating. Poor lighting in bathroom, Only stayed two nights but no housekeeping
Location, for our visit to Stalag Lufft3. Expansive grounds. Free parking. Character building. We only had breakfast that I found unappetising. However I saw other clients enjoying the food so maybe just me. Busy hotel. Booked a twin room and ours was two double beds in a big room with view over the grounds Good shower.

United KingdomIf you can put up with a barking dog until midnight, drunks outside your room until 2AM, the worst breakfast I think I’ve eaten at any hotel in my life. Then you may enjoy your stay here, it was not for me. Dated and dangerous, electrics hanging off the wall.
Location was perfect for my road trip and visiting Stalag Luft III.

United KingdomNothing to do with the hotel but it is irritating when a couple of young shop assistants treat you with contempt and both try and swindle you out of a couple of Zloty. Principle not the money. I also wish that the Town would consider chopping down the tree in the former camp - Lord knows the Forest is big enough - thus making it easier to pay ones respects to all of the nations, who suffered there. (I include the Luftwaffe guards in that comment, who were almost all decent while doing their duty.
Hotel not far from the Town and restaurants, station a bit further and Stalag Luft 3 also walkable. Dinner and drinks very fairly priced and good quality and breakfast similarly so. The best place to stay in Sagan from my two visits.

United States of AmericaThis hotel was on of the scarier ones I have ever stayed at. I felt like I was staying in the Shining movie hotel. They do not like to use lights at night and for the big dark grand staircases we needed to use a phone flashlight to find our way. It’s a safely issue but they are obviously trying to save money on electricity. the beds feel like they are cots with 40 year old innerspring mattresses and I was afraid to look too closely at anything because it was very dirty, old and much in need of a revamp. Pension Bartoz in Zagan is much nicer for the same cost.
The Breakfast options were surprisingly nice
