Place looked worn out. Nothing like fotos. If you didn't place your sheets on the floor they wont be changed if you put sign out.

The floor of my room was in bad condition, it also needed painting. The maintenance guys were repairing the room in front of my and were very loud using obscene language.

The common areas were nice and the location was very good.

No elevator. Bathroom was not clean. Crud in sink. Toilet had to be filled to flush. The floors in the bedroom were had paint marks. Didn't look clean. The walls had some liquid dripping down the walls. The bed was comfortable. Rooms need an update. 1970s vibe.

Excellent location in a safe area. Excellent staff. They bend over backwards to help. They made my stay better. Hotels are expensive. This place was half the price. If you are looking for a hotel walking distance to the beach this is good. If you are used to Mariott. This is not your jam.

I was traveling with a friend booked a room for 2 and ended up with 1 bed causing me to sleep on floor. Likely my fault for not checking.

Perfect location and a very reasonable rate at Holidays. Great little hotel and vibe...with excellent service.

They provided only 2 room towels per person for us for a 5 night stay, I had to go ask for more twice and the first time they were out of clean towels and another time I couldn't find anyone in the lobby so I just had to find the laundry room and grab them myself. There was no toilet paper in my room when we got there, had to find housekeeping's cart myself to track some down. There was a previous guest's bag left under the bed when I checked in, kind of made me wonder how thoroughly they cleaned. We left the door hanger indicating maid service a few times but no one came to tidy the room for the entire stay.

Liked the location of the hotel and the guest courtyard area was nice. They stay was very affordable, and one of our staff members was very helpful.

No iron or hair dryer, and most of the staff was not very nice. No hellos or goodbyes. Needed key to get into the hotel and given only one. Not well maintained.

There is no elevator and we had to climb three flights of stairs everyday at least 4 times a day. 😝 I can definitely say I got my exercise.

The hotel was really nice and old fashioned. Located on Ashford Ave. it has restaurants across the street and on the strip with 2 casinos.

When we arrived, no one was there to open for us even though we confirmed our arrival and had to wait outside the door in the middle of the night and the streets were deserted. Though we were safe, as tourists, we didn't feel so. The room is very cramped and not what we expected. The photos did not match the room we were given. The shared kitchen is ill-equipped. One would expect basic things like, cutlery, cups and plates. There was nothing. The internet was unreliable and constantly dropping.

Canario is situated in a very popular area with many shops in close proximity and a quick scooter ride away from Old San Juan, which is really where you want to be. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom, while very small was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The air-conditioning worked - I don't think I would have survived without it!

The staff made me feel burdensome and the room was a bit dirty and needs to be refreshed (I.e. rust, wall stains, lumpy mattress, wiring issues, etc.). I get the place is more affordable, but it should provide the basics.
