The noise level during the night was frustrating. I realize you text out a reminder but I don’t think some guests pay attention. One night I was woken up by the same loud woman 3 times between 1 AM and 3 AM. The 2nd time I literally got out of bed, opened the door, and said, “Please. It’s 2 o’clock.” She said, “I’m not that loud!” Loud enough to wake me up 😩 It would be helpful if it was enforced.

Great location! Close to everything in Old San Juan. Parking is a nightmare. We frequently used the discounted 24 hour parking, but before 3 PM, the lot is usually full and closed. Of course, this is not your problem, but a city problem. We truly appreciated the discount on parking.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all sights in Old San Juan. Use of a kitchen to make coffee and breakfast. Ice machine to fill up our water bottles.

They don't want you to flush toilet paper. You have to put it in the trash can which is just gross. Also you can not control the temperature of the room. Only goes to 70 which made it very warm and not good sleeping conditions. Luckily I had a small fan I clipped next to me.

The add of the hotel was misleading. The room didn't specifically say it didn't have windows and We didn't have 1 window. Also, the loundry rooms was next to us and in the morning we can hear all the staff working and talking. Oh, with that said we had to be extremely quiet after 10 pm cause you can hear everything in all the rooms.

The hotel suites had 2 rooms and 1 bathroom. the living room large and spacious. The kitchen had anything we needed to cook we didn't use it.

This place is awesome! Perfect spot, cool historic vibe, and we, a family of six, snagged two rooms close to each other, which was perfect. The kitchen in the main area was stocked with everything we needed – microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, even a toaster and ice maker! With four kids of different ages, having a kitchen was a lifesaver. Rooms and bedding were spotless, and surprisingly peaceful despite being on a bustling street. It was great to be able to store our luggage while we walked around after checking out.

We received many e-mails asking us to pay for the deposit online 'to avoid fraud' and to keep the reservation (otherwise it was going to be cancelled if not responded within 12 hours); it seemed to come from Booking.com, but with the location's name. When called the hotel, they said the messages don't come from them and assured we have the room that we paid for. It was rather confusing and annoying, and looked like a hacker was targeting the guests of this hotel. The reservation was via Booking.com; did not experience this with other reservations. Booking.com needs to look into this!!!!

Fortaleza Suites is in an excellent location, with nice and clean rooms and a friendly foyer/hall where one can sit and read. It is excellent that they have a person manning the reception area.

I wish there was coffee in the room. I had to go downstairs to the common kitchen area to make a pot of coffee myself. It would be nice if perhaps there was coffee made for us or if we had our own coffee in our room. Not a big deal though.

Wonderful front desk staff. The common kitchen area is cute.
