Spacious, comfortable room with a private outdoor deck and a great view, and a generous breakfast to set us up for a day of walking in the area.”
“It's hard to imagine my time in Pinhão without Hostel Douro Backpackers. Pedro and Sara worked tirelessly to provide a warm welcome from literally the moment you walked in. Pedro's welcome drink and presentation provided all essential information including a map to local hikes, restaurant suggestions, and local must-dos. A lovely terrace garden full of orange and lemon trees provided a private oasis, especially in the afternoon sun. The location is conveniently located, but also a bit off from the main tourist center. Also, the hostel was perhaps the cleanest I have ever stayed, and it offered well beyond what I expected based on Booking.”

Jorge, Francisca , Rafael, Maura and Alexandra were spontaneously warm and hospitable and made the Douro valley stay one of the most memorable highlights of our two and a half week trip to Portugal.
