Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Had a late afternoon arrival and was advised no one would be at the reception so we were directed to the affiliated bakery next door to pick up our keys. No problem. The issue was we were not told that the hotel entry was locked at night and how to unlock if necessary. We spent 10 minutes in the morning trying to figure out how to exit the hotel. We were able to get out but dangerous situation especially if there was an emergency.

Check in was superb. I had explained that I needed to take a business call, so the guy behind the desk assisted with all.the luggage and was incredibly helpful. What a great way to begin a stay and with a superb grasp of English. Mijutes later, for some strange reason, the owner then arrived and insisted upon explaining how the shower worked, after her member of staff had already done so. She did this without asking and simply pushed past to.enter the bathroom without us really understanding who she was. It seemed like a random woman wanted to access the room. I was actually in the middle of the business call and the intrusion was unwanted. Additionally I would mention that for the studios, there were no 'Do not Disturb' signs and staff entered without us being asked. Since there was no safe and our computers and personal belongings were out, we felt that was also an intrusion to.our privacy. The stay was fabulous but the little things as mentioned took the shine of what could have been an exceptional experience.

After arrivel we went to wash our hand. there was no hot water in the sink tap.There was no Bidet in the bath room. We had to wash in the shower.But there was no hot water in the shower. It was not very nice to wash with cold water. We thought they will put some hot water in the evening. We went out for dinner. Before going to bed we went fot shower.No hot water.No one at work in the hotel at that time.Every thing is locked and gone. Following morning I called one cleaning lady. She was very surprised that there is no HOT WATER. Owner came and gave me the key for the next room and we had a hot shower. NOT A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.

I think the hotel is a little bit pricey
The room was super pretty, and the stuff were super nice ! My phone charger broke the night before and they lend me one for the night I was there and helped me to find a shop in the next city where I can get a new one. the breakfast was really nice !

Its noisey, you can hear the neighbouring guests and the road is very busy. You have to sleep with the aircon on and windows closed otherwise you get no sleep.
We had one of the studio apartments, nice simple and spacious. Incredible breakfast!

the bedroom is ok but is not incredible for the price that we payed. The bedroom is small and the bathroom had a damaged ceiling, you could see the pipes

Some of the rooms road side are a little noisy but that can't be helped
A nice business hotel in a small town. The owner welcomed us and showed hospitality. There is a nice restaurant close by that's worth the walk to the end of town (Batata Doce) very reasonable and nice high quality food . This was recommended by the owner who also has a fabulous bakery and coffee shop next to the hotel. The room was absolutely fine for our overnighter and we were well rested .

This is pretty much the only hotel in Rogil, which explains the high price. We booked a double room with a balcony because we really wanted to sit outside but they didn’t have that room available any more and gave us an upgrade to an apartment without balcony - we managed in the end and they tried to help us, but to be honest with that price I would have rather liked to get what I booked. The breakfast is in the bakery which means it is mainly sandwiches, no eggs or more options.
Very big and spacious rooms. Great bathroom. Very clean. The staff was very helpful and let us check in early. She made us a very elaborate fruit platter for breakfast when we asked for fruit which was very nice.
