Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

No complaints, maybe blankets were too hot, everything else was pretty nice
Location is great, apartment equipped with all the necessary things, dishes, washer, even some basic foods like olive oil.

Not much to dislike, occasional sounds from the street may disturb some, but it may be that way for everyone in the city as the night life in Lisbona is lively :)
The owner is nice and you pick up the keys from them. The location is nice and the whole apartment is quite well equipped. It has plenty of space and the natural lightning is also nice. Location is also good

Busy road and with all the bars near,loud noise. U need earplugs.
Everything was good location,very close to restaurants,small shops.Walking distance. Priscilla answer very quickly via whatsupp,if u need it any help.

It was on top floor and their is no lift, so a lot of stairs te take.
Great location. Enough space for a big group and comfort of two bathrooms.

The wi-fi was not working from time to time. You can hear everything that is happening in the building even it can wake you up.
The apartment was big enough for 5-6 people. It’s exactly like the photos. The price is very accurate. The place is at a very good location, the city center is very close and you can easily reach it by food. The host was very polite. The beds are comfortable, there were towels for everybody, an iron, a dryer. Our stay was very nice at the place.

The apartment is very nice and clean. The location is central and the tram/bus stop in front of the house allowed us to reach everything we wanted to see in Lisbon by public transportation. The host was very helpful and responded in minutes to any our requests. Also there are many great restaurants around, which are also not so crowded as the ones in the center.

The location is simply perfect, close to everything without being noisy. The flat is big and has all you might need for your stay. Very nice and flexible host, responsible and available to respond to any doubt or need. Very clean.

I really liked the location, close to so many great cafes and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and spacious. We were allowed to check in early and leave later, which was really helpful. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Lisbon.

What bothered me the most is that we couldn't walk in the flat with socks or barefoot because they would get really dirty. The floor itself didn't look dirty, I guess it's because of the cars... I have no idea. The street and the apartments above (we were on the 2nd floor) can get really noisy in the evening... but even though I have a very light sleep, I could sleep really good every night. :-) The water kettle has to be replaced immediately.
The host was nice to let us check in earlier and getting the keys was very uncomplicated. The location is very good... there are many restaurants and cafés near the appartment. And there's also a supermarket and some kiosks for everyday needs. The location is also perfect... you can walk to many popular spots and neighborhoods on foot. And the Time Out market is also very nice :-) The appartment itself is very spacious.

The window in the 2 person's bedroom couldn’t be opened on a crack. There was no table available in the living room for us to put our food down to eat.
A nice bathroom with clean towels and hand soap.
