Some flooring works which were noisy - work had to be done just would have preferred to have been told in advance rather than stumbling upon workmen literally right outside our room. However we understand that they are refurbishing the hallways and this needed to be done.

Staff are excellent , extremely welcoming and helpful . The hotel is very clean and it was great to have a hair dryer in the room. Location is perfect a short walk down hill to a beautiful park and a little further is the bustling Avenue de Liberdad , we loved to location and it is extremely close to the metro and train station.

Nothing that I would consider important.

The staff were very friendly and helpful guiding us in activities and visits. Also showed on the map all the areas we must not miss upon our arrival. Close to the upper bairro with many restaurants and bars to choose from. Also at a couple of bocks to the avenue Liberdade which is the main one going to the rossio station. Great attention.

The facilities are a little outdated, but it is spotless clean and eveyrthing is functional.

The location is perfect, the main city squares are very near, as well as the main pedestrian street and the main boulevard. The main train station is also a few minutes from the hotel. The staff is extremely helpfull and friendly(especially Ricardo) and they will help you with anything you need, and will show you on the map all things you must see. The bed is comfortable, and the room is cleaned every day. We had a safe in our room, which is always a good thing.

The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The concierge and House keeping did a fantastic job to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. We arrived in the evening and as we checked in, we were offered a small complementary glass of port wine. Such a nice touch. I would stay at Hotel Botánico again.

I understand the need for maitanance and the hotel is commended for continuous improovement. I was the unlucky one to have the room just below where the work was being done, i.e. drilling, hammering, etc. This was not acceptable. That being said, they stopped around 17h30, but stated at 08h00. Although they arranged that heavy duty work start later in the morning, at 08h00 you could hear the guys working, which means you can't sleep in too much.

Over all the hotel is very nice, for its class. Nice space in the room and many windows, clean, stable fast wifi, and good noise control. Staff were great and helpfull. I would return for sure, with caution on the maintenance noise etc.

I had the "do not disturb" sign on while I was out of my room, yet housekeeping came in and tidied the room. I felt disrespected that my request was not honored. This may be a cultural misunderstanding.

The location was perfect for what I wanted to do and see. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and suited my needs, I liked being on the fifth floor above the street noises. Even though my room was next to the elevator I barley noticed. I would stay here again.

- The hot water in the shower was inconsistent. - It would have been convenient to have a kettle and a couple of mugs in the room. - Despite leaving the "do-not-disturb" sign on for the day, the cleaning person still entered the room. While it was appreciated that there was a daily cleaning service, it was unnecessary given that we had left the sign on.

- The employees were very polite and helpful, offering excellent service and numerous travel tips for exploring the city. - The hotel's location was exceptionally convenient, within walking distance of the city centre and with easy access to public transportation. - Our room was clean, tidy, and with a lovely view. The double bed was somewhat small but still quite comfortable. - Overall, our stay was delightful, and we highly recommend this hotel.

Even though it is not newly furnished, everything is very well-kept. Very good location. Clean. We really appreciated that we were able to leave our backpacks at the reception and explore the city for half a day, as our flight was late in the afternoon.
