Unfortunately, I selected the hotel because they had a gym but this didn't open until 9am and breakfast finishes at 10:30. So going to the gym wasn't really an option if I wanted breakfast. The gym needs to open at 8am, most of us do an hour in the gym and then need to shower and change. Other than the above, everything else was fine. I'll be booking again for early June.

The location was great. The hotel was very clean and not overnight by kids. The facilities available were very good, including tennis courts. The swimming pool, sunna and steam room were superb.

It was all pretty basic, but then again the price was reasonable for the location and season.

I was here for just one night on a stop-over. There are two properties opposite each other. Garden is the big hotel with a pool. Atlantico (where I stayed) is more like an apartment building. Fairly basic studio overlooking the small garden. Beds, kitchen and bathroom spotless clean. Not much decoration or luxury but fine for the night. Had a late check-in (11pm) and restaurant and bar were closed. Breakfast was very good and not too crowded. Parking in the street was all occupied so I parked in the garage of Garden for 8 Euro.

The beds weren’t the comfiest, we stayed for 10 days with no real issues but definitely couldn’t wait to get back to my own bed. You only get one pillow which isn’t the best. We didn’t try to request more so that could be an option. They wouldn’t let us try to book a late checkout until the morning we had to leave. Then we found out the hotel was fully booked so we had to be out by 11am but we could put our luggage in the luggage room and then we were able to use the showers and changing facilities in the spa area. No soap / dishwasher tablets / cloths in the kitchen so take your own / buy your own there.

Location was great, out of the hotel, down the hill to a set of steps which took you right into old town square - literally a 3/4 min walk. Coming home up the steps was a little harder but worth it. There were spa facilities which were lovely, you do have to have a swimming cap to use the indoor pool - can be bought there. Outdoor pools were fabulous, well maintained, cold but it was March so unsurprising - kids got in every day though. Food was delicious - we just paid as we went. Fairly good value for money but obviously there are cheaper options outside of the hotel. Download the Bolt app to use taxi’s - so simple, so cheap and taxis were literally everywhere and there within 3 minutes. Taxi to marina was €3.65 and a similar price to New Town but both are walkable within 20 - 30 minutes with plenty of places to stop on the way. Rooms were cleaned every day apart from Sunday and they did a fantastic job. There was a little shop with the basics in it but a 10 minute walk up the hill takes you to Aldi and Lidl is the across the road too so you can get everything you need to have breakfast lunch etc. in your apartment if you want to.

The bedding/brown blankets, which I know are typical Portuguese, takes a bit of getting used to. No washing up liquid/brush supplied.

No microwave no basic kitchen stuff like a dish cloth no dish soap no tray to put anything like pizza in oven..no strainer for spaghetti pillows were not comfortable. So basically the kitchen should have been better stalked with basics.

I seemed the sleeping facilities in the apartment were more suited for two persons than four persons - the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and it was not foldable for two (under the sofa was a small "bed" you could pull on the floor). The kitchen had decent cooking equipment but not any basics like salt, oil, baking sheets, not any washing up liquid and sponge/brush for the dishes.

Easy parking. I guess the whole block is hotel area so there are a lot of parking slots along the street around the building. Good facilities like outdoor swimming pools and spa (although we didn't use them). Nice staff at the reception. Good breakfast available at the hotel restaurant. Short walk to the center and beach although a lot stairs.

We only have one key to our apartment and there were 4 people staying there which was annoying.

It’s very close to old town, it was clean and breakfast was nice. Staff were lovely and loads of facilities.

The address of hotel on booking left me in quite dark street behind some apartments that I believe belonged to same hotel complex and it took me some time and luck to find/reach the reception few streets/turns down toward the inner city. Not a best experience when you arrive tired in the night.

Free pool and spa facilities. I liked offer of breakfest and dinner buffet.

Room was a little dark even with all lights turned on. Asked for a double bed, got singles pushed together. Hot water run out only after a few minites. Bankets were inadequate for the season (March)

Beautiful property, with SPA and sauna. Very good breakfast although it was the same every day. Massive outside pool, friendly staff. Would be happy to return in peak season

Beds were solid. Just a personal preference.

The staff were very pleasant and ever so helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty to offer. 1 bedroom apartment was very spacious and clean. Leisure facilities on site were good. The view from the balcony was great. All round we enjoyed our short break here. 5 minute walk to the old town.

The bed linens weren't as I expected. I expected hotel beds with white sheets and comforters. The one in our room was a brown cotton bed sheet and the woolen blankets that were kept in the closets.

The facilities were great, dining and bar halls including the shuttle service.
