Really outstanding breakfast, extremly helpful and very courteous crew! The hotel is one of the nicest we have seen in Portugal. The 3 pools were warm in enough mid April to take a swim, everything ist maintained on a high level. We wonder how it will be in a few years time, when the big hotel complexes which are being built right now near the hotel may lead to overtourism...

I can't think of a thing.

This hotel is spread out in various dedicated buildings located on a quiet side street. The buildings are very clean. The breakfast is very good--scrambled eggs, meat, pastries, yogurt, fruit, nuts, and more. The hotel is located an easy walking distance both to the beach and to the boardwalk that goes to the lighthouse and beyond. We also walked to downtown Lagos, which took about 15 minutes. There are also several restaurants less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The neighborhood is very safe. The hotel has a parking lot, and there is also parking available on the street.

The breakfast was lovely, even prosecco! The room was also very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated - the balcony was a plus too. The staff were so so friendly and even provided us with a takeaway breakfast on our final day as we left early in the morning. I would fully recommend staying here!

There is trick in payment. First, I was asked to pay in Euro or US-dollar. I chose to pay by dollar since US bank offers market exchange rate. Then another question followed in Portuguese which I could not read/understand. The staff chose the second choice for me with my permission (I kind of trusted him doing things on my behalf). Later I figured out that the second question is actually asking you permission to allow a Portuguese bank to covert the Euro amount into US dollar at higher mark up rate as the final price. So I ended up paying more US dollars. I thought that question #2 is not necessary after I chose to pay dollar in #1. Be careful!

The room is quite simple. Nothing too bad, but also nothing special.

We loved the location, highly recommend. Also the breakfast was perfect. We took dinner as well and I don't think it was a good idea. I can't say it was bad but it is the same selection each day, it would be better to have a dinner in the city.

A sumptuous breakfast - from seafood to fresh fruits, and sweet pastries The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. The location was a 15 minute walk to the centre. With a five minute walk from the hotel one could enjoy walks along the coast. It was a great stay.

Uneven gravel parking lot. Construction in the area, but we didn't notice any noise.

Excellent resort hotel with indoor/outdoor pools. Huge quiet, clean, comfortable well-designed/furnished family room with balconies, view of pool, and beach towels. Comfy beds. Safe area. Spectacular breakfast with a huge selection. Very friendly staff. Exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

The beds were hard

Personel was very friendly and always helping. Breakfast and diner were great. We rented the appartement which was spatious with a decent balcony. Appartement was very clean and had all the equipment needed for our stay. The rooms were quiet and dark at night .

The location was hard to find. This was due to roadworks closures which was out of the control of the staff. However a heads up would have been nice. The location of the Costa d'Orio was great, close to beach. A long way from the main city but we had a car. Parking is difficult to find however.

Breakfast was fantastic. There was a good variety of food available. The staff were friendly and the setting was relaxing by the pool.

Little parking spots, most roads where under construction making accessibility tricky by car.

Breakfast was fantastic, with a large buffet with lots of options. The villas where split up, with each group having a pool. The rooms where neat, with every window having blinds. The bar was well stocked with a variety of drinks, and the restaurant staff was very professional. While it was away from Lagos city center, its close proximity to the Ponta da Piedade made its location excellent.

The room could have been cleaned better. The floor had a bizarre urine smell even after being cleaned. Had to take matters into my hand to clean it

The breakfast was amazing!! Would certainly return just for that.
