Some staff didn't seem very happy, I felt bad for them. Management need to motivate some staff. Bar drinks weren't very good!

I spent 5 wonderful days in the hotel with 2 kids. We all liked a lot breakfasts , where we found different meal on our taste! Our appartment was really big with 2 rooms, super clean and nice with evetything needed inside! First few days it was windy, so we used to go to the inside swimming pool with jacuzzi and saunas. My kids loved this time-spending and it was very relaxed for me as well: after all day walking to swim in warm water and to get rest. The area with outside swimming pool looks much better and bigger than on the photos and it has a wonderdull views for the ocean and nature around! Very beautiful beach wit rocks is in 5 minutes walking from the hotel!

Wish the hot tub was truly hot. The pool water temperature was warmer than the hot tub.

The location was perfect. Easy to get around the island by bus or down to the promenade by foot.

The facilities - gym and swimming pool are quite old. The sauna temperature was around 60 degree, a bit low.

The breakfast could have been more variable. The vegetable and fruit choice was not very rich. The location of the hotel is great - just next to the beach, close to Funchal, close to fully equipped grocery stores.

I liked very much this hotel.

The breakfast was very good and delicious. The staff were very helpful and kind. Parking fee was OK on 6 Eur/night. The room was a little bit retro furnatured but with a large living room and bedroom. The bathroom was very clean. The location was also very good, easy to teach the shopping center and pharmacy. The area is wonderful of the hotel. Unfortunately we could not to try the wellness because we had a lot of programmes🙃! I can recommend this hotel for everybody!

Some more utensils for the room kitchenette would be nice (eg. like a classic sharp knife), the sofa bed is not so comfortable if you spend more nights on it. The breakfast selection could have more variety and more premium ingredients.

It was our second stay at Golden Residence hotel. The location is fine both for car and public transport. We had a large room with a kitchenette which was convenient for our family. Nice views from the hotel terrace. The hotel staff was welcoming and professional.

The swimming pool was partially under refurbishment, but it was not disturbing the usage. The mattresses are too soft.
