눉The promised "public parking" - there should be a description provided as there are only one-way roads around and just a few parking spots. I was driving around and looking for a spot for about 15 minutes. So make sure you're prepared for a search!
눇The staff was very friendly and even arranged a little breakfast at 4a.m - therefore I can't comment on breakfast as I left early. The rooms are very small as is the bathroom. Besides that they are really clean and comforting.

눉The bed was a bit too short and too tiny for a big person but comfy. The noise from the street (metro line = actually a tram, running just near the window). The two electrical sockets near the bedsite cabinets didn't work but we talked to the reception and they fixed that the same day. The hotel doesn't have any elevator which makes it difficult to drag all the heavy suitcases up the floors.
눇Very friendly staff from the very check in to check-out. They lend us an umbrella when it was raining and they let us stay in their tiny restaurant till the transfer time for the airport though it was long ago after the check-out. We initially booked 3 nights and wanted to prolong our stay but booking.com didn't let us. Webooked one more night in a triple room for one more night. After the talk with the manager, they agreed to make us stay in the double room and pay less and cancell the triple room, whic was very good for us. The staff all spoke English and assissted us in telling us where the places are in Porto. The room was very tiny (like for a doll) but very clean. The maid was cleaning it every day and arranged towels in all sorts of funny shapes (cute). The location was excellent, 2 junctions away from the ocean. The area was quite calm and the nearby restaurant (Gallipo) that the hotel reception suggested served us excellent food. The breakfast was all the time the same but fresh buns and terrific freshly squeezed juice were excellent.

눉As the hotel is an old building there is no lift but as it's only two floors high it's not that much of a problem for my dodgy knees.
눇The hotel was ultra clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is in an old part of the town which can look a bit run down but don't be put off by it's appearance. It is 100M from the Metro stop and as the Metro tracks go along the main street the trams go past the front of the building so it's easy to find and next to no cars use this stretch of road. The hotel, by Metro, is 30 mins from the airport, 45 mins from Porto, 5 mins from a fantastic beach and 5 mins from a whole street of seafood restaurants. The seafood is fresh and cooked on BBQs in the street adjacent to seating platforms. It's an interesting place and very much part of the local Portuguese lifestyle and not very touristy.
