Bed was not that comfortable and very noisy when you turned over

This beautiful property is located just above Viana do Castelo and you feel as though you are miles away from any town. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the staff so helpful. The cottages are well equipped, clean and quiet. You can easily access all the sights and town from this location.

The only thing I can suggest, is to have some kitchen foil in the kitchen. We cooked in the oven and I'd have liked to protect the oven itself from the spitting chicken.

We didn't expect the apartment to be so beautiful within wonderful gardens ... the swimming pool was perfect.

The fixed lighting outside projects toward our unit and was very bright. However they did turnoff around midnight. This made it hard to enjoy the night sky before then.

Perfectly quite for its location near the city. Cozy fireplace for the cooler nights which set the ambience for a glass of wine...or two or three. The large covered patio w/table and loungers sheltered us on the rainy days. The plush and comfortable bed ensured us no shortage of sleep. The unit had all the necessary kitchen utensils for us prepare our own meals. Perfect for longer stays!!

Birds especially peacocks can be noisy at night

Charm, history and distinct luxury from a huge domain with a multitude of birds, fruits and centuries old trees. The apartment was spacious, its decor and equipments refined and of high quality. The overflow type pool in the landscape park is absolutely stunning.

That we didn’t get a good sleep due to the peacocks. Most people mustn’t self cater as there are no oven mitts or pot holders (makes it difficult to take something from the oven or microwave).

The apartment was lovely and so clean. If you get apartment 4 and plan to self cater it’s very dark in the kitchen area. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job! The bed is firm but comfortable. Lots of hot water 👍. The proprietors are very quick to answer any questions or concerns you have and do it very pleasantly. Be aware we are not super light sleepers but with the shutters closed and the windows closed we could not block out the sound of the peacocks.

The accommodation, the location, the distance from the town centre (access to many restaurants), closeness to some amazing beaches, close proximity to places of interest. The property is well hidden and away from the hustle and bustle of the town but close enough to be able to walk to restaurants. Beautiful infinity pool; fabulous gardens and amazing peacocks. The cleaning staff were so helpful even though they could not speak English!

The bell on the gate didn't seem to work so I had to phone to say we had arrived. Kitchen a bit dark and small.

wonderful position on hillside. surrounded by beautiful gardens. Easy to find the main gate behind hospital car park and the drive up to the house was easy. Well furnished and outside furniture was plentiful and comfortable.

We were received very friendly, got good information about Viana do Castelo. The garden is beautiful, very well maintained. The appartment is cleaned every day. There are beautiful birds and peacocks in the garden. From the appartment you can walk tot the city centre. The people at the quinta are all very friendly.

The birds in cages. Their cages are too small and not very clean, we even saw one dead bird one day. Please rehome them to a sanctuary.

Comfortable stay in spacious apartment, ideal for 2 people. We stayed in apartment 5 which has a more private terrace and great views out to sea which we appreciated. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom had a bath which was also appreciated as many only have showers these days. The Quinta is set in beautiful grounds and the pool is lovely.
