Breakfast was the extremely poor. Location was excellent.

The breakfast was the same every day but its 2 star hotel. There was a weak wifi. Noise from a backyard every night.

The room was very simple but clean. It reflects 2 stars. Staff was helpful.

1. The hotel is quite old, so the walls are pretty thin and you can here not only the room next to you but all the noise coming from different floors.

1. Room was clean and you can also request for daily cleaning if you like. 2. Location wise is perfect. 3. Simple room, but great value for money. 4. Breakfast was included in our stay. Although there are not many options are included in the menu.

*my previous review was for a different property* Excellent location in the centre of Funchal! Great base for exploring the local area and the island. Staff were helpful and the room was very clean! Breakfast was basic but the stay was very good value for money.

The hotel has limited parking spaces but receptionists were so helpful with that! Location of the Hotel is perfect, it's suitable for everything. Breakfast is good for this value:)

The first room was noisy at night because it was above the restaurant but they moved us straight away the next day

Thin walls, old furniture, limited parking space, so we needed to leave our car in the parking house

The breakfast is very basic, the coffee undrinkable but the locals don't seem to mind.

This is a very good economical hotel. The staircase stone and design is lovely. Much better than a hostel if you can afford it.

Being so central it comes with the loud and boise evenings so bring a good earplugs ! Also the mattress is uncomfortable and hard.

The location is perfect for walking around near the shops, and a short walk to the cable car !

It's very noisy 😞 and sadly, because the walls are not soundproof anything so you here everybody on your level and the elevator door closing it's very loud to. The breakfast not good, but in this price range it's okay. Just one plug was in the room.....

The receptionist lady was very nice. The room was clean. Everything it's very close so the location it's very good.

Poor breakfast, very small car park (only available for 3 cars), one of the employees was very rude.

Very good location of the hotel, free entry on the roof top with an amazing moutain view, the room was clean with good equipments (excepted plug sockets).

The parking was very inaccessible, they only have 4 parking spots so you have to be lucky to get one. They also ask you to leave the room keys at the front desk every time you leave the hotel.

Very convenient location. Really incredible rooftop with beautiful views of the city! Great value. Good typical Portuguese breakfast in the mornings

The hotel could provide some fruit within the breakfast section but I bought some of my own at a near by market

I was very surprised with my stay at Hotel Sirius. The beds were very Comfortable, I travelled with my Grandmother and my two year old son. The hotel is located in the city of Funchal and we walked most of the time to where we needed to go. The lido (pools) were a 40 minute walk from the hotel or a 8 minute taxi. The Wifi sometimes disconnected but mostly was fine. The balcony was great to have. There was a little noise from outside but this did not disturb my two year old son when he was sleeping so it was okay. The breakfast was simple but nice to have included as when I was searching for somewhere to stay most places did not offer breakfast at the price we paid to stay at Hotel Sirius. We stayed here for 9 nights and was very satisfied. They have a restaurant next door also call Sirius which was very cheap. You can find lots of cheap places to eat if you just find the right spots and search around. All of the staff were extremely helpful and the cleaners cleaned the room really well, it was nice to come back after a long day out to a nice and clean room. The TV worked and entertained my son for a while whilst I got ready. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay!
