The apartment is very comfortable. The bed was big and comfortable. The apartment includes facilities for cooking, and we used it to prepare breakfast. The village is very near and you can buy fresh bread at 6:30. The owner filled out any request on the spot, and he is available all the time. In the apartment and in the garden that is surrounded by a green hedge, you have total privacy .

The uphill walk from the beach from happy hour down on the water.

Outside private space, very comfortable bed, spacious and regularly serviced including towel changeouts. Ricardo was a fabulous host. Loved the noisy Shearwaters coming home to feed the kids at dusk. Faja Grande was the ideal location on the island.

We had a wonderful stay at Sítio da Assumada on Flores. The host, Ricardo Mendes, is super-friendly and gave us a very helpful overview of the best places to explore on Flores. The cabins have a wonderful, private garden with many beautiful flowers and plants that is nicely separated with a hedge from the other cabins. The highlight was to listen to the unique Scopoli's shearwater birds (Cagarro in Portuguese) at night.

Beautiful green garden in front of each house. Regular blackbirds and sparrows visits. “Singing” cagarros at night. Good starting/ending point for best trails on Flores. Great small shop / mini bar in the town. Really nice and helpful host (Ricardo).

Some of the cooking equipment could be updated - just usual self catering stuff like sharpening knives, supplying a colander, etc but the kitchen itself was well great.

Ricardo was lovely, very helpful and always there for anything you want. The cabin was great - we didn't get the best weather so it was nice to have somewhere comfortable to retire to and to be able to throw open the big doors and enjoy the private garden from the lounge or patio.

Lovely place! Apartment is well equipped, very comfortable, clean and spacious. Great location, close to waterfalls, some bars and shops. Beatifull garden with lot of birds, really relaxing place. Very nice ans helpful host. Highly recommended, we would love to come back again!

The owner, Ricardo waited and greeted us for our arrival. He gave us a great introduction of the whole island with Google Earth, it was super helpful. He then walked us to our own bungalow with a beautiful private gardens, yard and outdoor sitting area. The accommodation is very modern and well designed. It's very comfortable, clean and bright. One thing I like to mention is with the high humidity everywhere on the island, we didn't feel humid inside at all. The place is in the middle of extremely quiet and peaceful nature just outside the town of Faja Grande. But it is just a short walk to the town that has many good restaurants in the spectacular settings. In the middle of our stay a basket of clean towels was delivered to our door which we thought was really nice. With so much to see on the beautiful island, we also took time to enjoy sitting outside on the porch and checking out the different flowers in the yard and after dark we enjoyed hearing the lovely singing sound of the returned seabirds after a day of fishing out in the sea. This is definitely a great place to stay when in Flores. We definitely had a great time and left with very fond memories of the island and the place.

The place is situated 5 minutes drive from the town, Ricardo was very helpful and welcomed us at the door providing us with a lot of information and ideas that we could do during our 1 night stay.

Everything was great. I can’t think of one negative.

This property was perfect in every way. We stayed in a lovely casita with our own private glorious garden. The house was clean and comfortable. There is a small kitchen, a good sized living room and a large bedroom with nice double wardrobes. It is furnished with nice furniture, has good lighting and a big bathroom. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. He gave us valuable information about the island and places to eat. We enjoyed the location close to the coast in a quaint village. This is the perfect place for peaceful relaxation plus it is close to the beautiful waterfalls and a nice coastline.

Located in beautiful soundings, quiet with a private garden. The place is very clean and has great wifi and very comfy beds and is close to trails and waterfalls. The owner Ricardo was friendly and provided a lot of useful information about the island and he was always available to help.

Buying food was quite a problem The local supermarket had very little fruits and vegetables and not very nice.. But you have better alternative within half an hour drive We advise booking restaurants in advance, including the table you like
