There wasn’t nearly enough sand outside on the parking or up towards the entrance. They could have put a lot more cause it felt very unsafe for my old parents and pregnant sister to walk there.. Just to have salt & pepper would have been lovely, other food and things makes more sense to buy new even for a weekend.

Clean accommodation and central location. Great kitchen necessity for breakfast and cooking available. I’d definitely would recommend to others and also go back there again.

There is a washing machine but we couldn't find anything to dry the clothes: no dryer, no lines. It was quite a challenge.

This was a cottage with a nice view of the lake from the house itself and a spectacular view from a few dozens meters. It is located 250m above Silvan lake and 100m under the Vidablick tower where the view is amazing. The inside of the cottage is functional, charming and quaint. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned but nice.

The location of the cottage that we booked was shown incorrect and the host accommodated us in another apartment closer to the city without any view of the Siljan lake.. Luckily there was a room available at that hour else we would be in huge trouble. While booking the location showed as 50 m from the city centre while the cottage was uphill, around an hour walk from there without any public transportation, so nearly impossible to commute with luggage and no car. A lot of the amenities that were written down on the booking.com website were not available like hair dryer and ironing equipment but that might also have been as were accommodated in a different apartment than the one we booked. The responses to my requests and queries on booking.com chat were delayed. If the chat was a more responsive one, we could have been better prepared for the trip. There is also an option on the booking.com website claiming that we could choose a cleaning service while booking. We went for it but when we asked the host about it, we were informed that no one takes care of it on behalf of the booking via this website and it is the guest' s responsibility to clean it. The website for this booking might not be well updated or collaborated as per my opinion which could cause inconvenience to guests.

The apartment had a well equipped good kitchen and there was a washer and dryer in the bathroom as well. The surroundings were nice and beautiful. It was a cozy stay.

Cleanliness not brilliant. The cottage felt a little run down and not particularly looked after. Extra costs for bedding and towels. If no car a long climb up a steep incline to Cottage

The location high up overlooking Siljan lake. Bedroom was lovely with a little table and chairs, sunny aspect. Patio area outside. Owners partner gave us a lift to cottage otherwise a long climb uphill.

Lot of dead and live flies all over the cottage. The owner knows about this issue but doesn't share or finds solution. We needed to kill and vaccum flies day and night. As a compensation, we were offered not to clean after us when we checkout. WiFi didn't work and just at 8pm in the second night this was fixed. Very slow response and not efficient by the owner.

We had a nice smaller cottage high above Rättvik. The location was wonderful with a beautiful view over the lake and the sun set (direct out of the bed). Everything perfect.
