Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast: The scramble eggs tasted bad and were obviously mixed with too much liquid. The dish and the other food like my bread was soaking wet from liquid from the eggs. Fruit’s missing all of my three mornings that I stayed there. Not filled up when finished.
The breakfast select was grate, more than i’m used to

The AC made irritating noice sometimes so we had to turn it off at night. They couldnt find our booking. Somehow someone had already checked us in, no idea who so we stood there a little terrified we had nowhere to sleep late at night.
Breakfast- very well. Nice room and beds.

Near the Astrid Lindgrens world. If you are used to Scandic etc. hotels, this is different, but very nice with antique furniture and old-style wallpaper with flowers and so on - the hotel has got character. The breakfast was good, also gluten-free options. Excellent beds and pillows.

Room was nice but everything on the location was a little dirty. There where pringle flakes under our bed ( not from us). Tables and chairs in restaurant were always a bit filthy, I think they just needed more staff or at least teach them to clean better

Slight chaos at the breakfast buffet (too many people, despite the time management). The service staff tried hard, but was still a bit overwhelmed. Many families with very young children, but no wonder, because everyone wants to go to Astrid Lindgren's World ;). Unfortunately, the room price is above average :(
Nice and large room, quiet location. Friendly staff at the reception and service. Close to the campsite with washing machine and dryer (chip card at reception). Free parking spaces!

Ugly decoration, bad tea and the service did not mach the prise. Had to clean breakfast table and get cutlery.

Reception just gave us the key and a survey on arrival with no more information about the hotel. Hotel charge extra for using the pool area, not included in the stay. Noicy area outside the room and you can hear other people walking around on the floor above. Food was cheap and ordinary and the service was a direkt reflexion of this.
Breakfast buffet was the best part of the stay.

The hotel was run down and the two women we dealt with at customer service had the opportunity to show kindness and courtesy to us in a difficult situation, but chose not to. Instead, they avoided us for the remainder of our stay (ducking behind doors when they saw us) and made us feel uncomfortable for the remainder. They refused to provide a bagged breakfast for our early departure which was offered when we checked in and we paid for. That situation aside, the hotel is way past its prime and our room had more of a dorm or hostel quality than we expected for a 4 star hotel. The “playroom” consists of a couple books with broken spines, toy’s with broken and missing pieces, and a Fußball table with a crumpled up piece of paper as the ball. For this price, look somewhere else.

Suspect stain on one of the beds pillows. We expected more from the breakfast and dinner buffè. Few choices and not that tasty either. One of us got food poisoning.
The size of the room. That there was two bathrooms.

Extreme noisy room (room 4)! We heard our neughbours snoring, flushing the toilet, showering, speaking as if they were in the room. Couldn‘t sleep the whole night! Army of silver fishes in the bathroom! Very tiny room as well for the money: two adults + kid on maybe 12 square meters for 185€! We requested and Hafen to pay even some extra money for a Kinder-bed, but just got the classical sofa prepared… no Kinder-bed was finally there. Very unpleasent stay…
