Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

One minor suggestion: it would be easier for the hostel to add the price of the bed sheets directly to the price of the stay. It was not clear to me why we have to pay for the bed sheets separately since we have to take them anyway. All excellent otherwise.
Super friendly staff and always available. Easy check-in and check-out. Sparkling clean bed and bathroom facilities. Central position, everything nearby. All this at one of the lowest prices you can find in Stockholm. If I could give six stars out of five, I would do it.

The decoration was so unique and the staff was also helpful. I also think that the socializing aspect through a social media group is equally admirable.

It was amazing. It is designed in such a way that people can meet and make friends. It is very close the Central Station, about 7-8 min walk.

The toilet/ bathroom is more then tiny. Room was in the basement without windows. Too small and bad air for me personally, but if you are younger this is probably a super nice low budget place to have a fun experience in Stockholm and connect to other travelers.

I know it's mixed sex rooms. Might it be an option to have one or two rooms that are single sex? For example, my first night the room was shared with teenage girls. I'm not sure how comfortable they were sharing a room with an almost 50 year old man.
I was greeted by a smile by staff when I arrived and some chat. These small things make a difference as it's nice to be greeted, and valued.

This is not something they hide, it is written in the descriptions after all, so this is just a heads up rather than a complaint: your sleep quality will be very bad in windowsless rooms. I thought it wouldn't be a problem but unfortunately there is very little air (naturally) in the room and that affected my sleep horribly. If you are ok with this, everything else about this Hostel was truly great for the price.
Staff was very helpful, hostel is very clean. I didn't have a chance to use it but they have a sauna that you can get relaxed. Common room and the kitchen was spacious, cozy and clean.

Not a lot. We were really pleased. At some times the kitchen was quite crowded but this is really more a luxury problem.
Basically everything Sauna, free pasta, very clean, everyone was friendly, great location

There's an Australian lady who was one of the ladies occupying one of the beds in the dorm asked me to turn off my reading light in my bunk (it was only 10pm ish). To this Australian lady in room Kymendu - go pay more for a private room instead of crashing in a 6 beds dorm unless you are a Karen.

Staff could be more enthusiastic and there are not activities, so it is not easy to know the other people staying at the hostel.
Great position, less than 10 mins by foot from the Central station. Very clean, both the room and the common area.

The beds were not the best as on the bottom bunk even sitting up is impossible without hitting your head (and I'm short). It was also quite loud with all the coming and going, but that's part of the hostel experience, so it is to be expected.
The hostel was close to the City Terminal, which is where the airport buses arrive and depart from, so it's super convenient. The staff was very nice, and the free coffee-tea-pasta is a great perk!

Nitpicky list! Nothing huuuuge. Buuut- Felt a bit charged extra for all sort of little extra things. Was annoying more that I had to ask. Only a big padlock works too... need better instructions for washers. If you don't like changing in front of others, the shower area got zero privacy FYI. * I was fine with it though. Also, you stay here, take your damn shoes off where it says to!
Excellent location. Chill environment. Happy with cleanliness. Really was a good ideal hostel experience. Big mix of ages too. I really liked it. Sauna was soooooo nice. Stockholm kinda dull, but this is a cool place. Definitely stay here.

the layout of the apartment.
The apartment is very big but the bathroom is not very equipped to many people and 2 beds are in front of bathroom. The kitchen was clean and functionnable. And the apartment is close to underground : 10 mins to walk. The sauna is very appreciable.
