Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe room only had a small window so was dark. Bathroom door lacks privacy with a see through curtain over the windows. Not a great room.
Leon was excellent. Food abailable during day was welcome. Best breakfast I've had in a hotel.

United KingdomThere was very little that disappointed us about The Lesar. The only things that come to mind were the limited products in the bathroom ie. an empty shower cap box and no body lotion, but they were hardly deal breaking. The other slight niggle was the concierge who wasn't particularly friendly or at all helpful with his advice, pushing expensive taxi trips over the obvious (and very feasible) bus options (to Bled, specifically), making out that public transport was far more complicated and time consuming than it actually proved to be. It's a shame, because as 'the face of Lesar' (for us at least) he didn't do it justice.
The location was excellent. Near to loads of great restaurants, bars and shops. It really couldn't be better. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a good choice of cold meats, cheese, cereals and cake. Hot dishes were available on request. Cake, fruit and hot beverages were also available, free, throughout the day, as a welcome extra on your return from seeing the city. There was loads of hot water for long, deep baths and the beds were really comfortable.

United Arab EmiratesLoved everything about this hotel. It's in a quiet part of the old town and no cars are allowed into this part of the city. Check in with Leon was great. He showed us the lovely garden, gave us some tips on things to do and he even went to shop to get gluten-free bread for me for the morning! Highly recommend this hotel. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer than one night.

ChileCan't think of anything.
This hotel is serious about its "boutique" quality. The building has gorgeous interior spaces, especially the lobby and the breakfast room (which acts as an all-day quick-bite dispenser as well). Rooms are amazing. Spacious, quiet, quality bed and bathroom, with great coffee machine to boot. The WiFi is very fast and adequate for video calls. Staff is very attentive to ensure you have the best experience possible. Location is incredible to explore Ljubljana's old town, as it is right on the edge of it. A 5 minute walk and you are essentially right in the middle of the triple bridge, which is very central. As far as convenience goes, there are minimarkets and plenty of restaurants around the hotel, too.

AustraliaNothing in particular
From the moment we checked in things were great. Leon on reception was a flint of knowledge and great ideas, the room upgrade was a complete surprise and absolutely wonderful for a couple of rainy days in Ljubljana with a very comfortable sitting area and open fire in the room. Excellent position and breakfast and we made the use of taking the free bikes out to explore the Tivoli Gardens and beyond. (And if you are there in a Friday don’t miss the food markets)

United KingdomThis was the perfect hotel for our four-night stay in Ljubljana: centrally located and quiet, with helpful staff, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. The tea and cakes provided in the afternoon at no extra charge and the mini bottle of champagne and bottles of mineral water in our room's fridge - again free of charge - were very nice added touches.

We loved this hotel - tasteful, characterful decor, very comfortable, and all the little things thought about which add up (plug sockets by the bed, decent pillows, good lighting). Excellent breakfast. The best place we stayed in 10 days across Europe.
