Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Because it's close to restaurants and pub some noise can make his way to the apartment...
Location is superb ! Spacious apartments, clean and comfortable. Equipped with kitchen and dining table. in the middle of old Town. Everything is walking distance. Great communication with the host Luba.

Well. For me it was verry good. Cannot say something i didn't like.
Very welcoming and helpful host, the rooms are extremly clean and very well equipped and above all the location is very well placed just for you to enjoy the delightful sights of bratislava!!! Will return here in the future.

We arrived a little early but were met by the hosts husband who showed us to the apartment. The apartment itself was a great size, clean, tidy and all we needed for our stay. Its location was great and easy to negotiate to winding streets around the area. If you do wish to go Vienna, take your passport as checks are done and it would be advisable to book seats.

The noise level might be an issue for some. I would not recommend it to families with children, I read reviews and knew what to expect, so it wasn't an issue for me, but the noise from downstairs pubs/restaurants goes on until late
It's centrally located, within the old town, spacious, well maintained apartment, it has a large bath instead of the shower, I was still able to have a shower though, apartment could fit at least 4 easily, it's so big... The bedroom bed is enormous for European standards at least

Nothing Would suggest 2 bath towels per person for a 4 night stay - although there was a washing machine . And perhaps a mirror in the bedroom . But these are minor suggestions .

Couldn’t find the clothes aider mentioned. Needs air conditioning and mirror in the bedroom.

There are 2 beer terraces just under the windows so you can hear people talking until they close, but there's no music

Due to the restaurant directly below the apartment the noise was constant even after midnight. Could only sleep with closed window. This was known to us prior booking based on reviews here and accepted it in exchange of the fantastic proximity to everything.

No A/C which we knew about but very hot during our stay so had windows open therefore noise from restaurants was very loud and stayed late especially Friday and Saturday night.
Centrally located, bed comfy, large apartment, lots of windows for cross ventilation, had two fans.

The Windows had to be open in the night so the air would change. All the noise came up from the streets. No air-conditioning either, which would be nice on hot days.
Massive apartment with lot of space and all that is needed for a weekend getaway.
