A larger bar area would be nice as very limited seating .

Villa room was convenient located by restaurant /beach. Loved the outdoor shower facility. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good , lots of choice including Thai food. Evening meal on the beach was lovely. All staff were so helpful and had wonderful smiles .

The Dara Samui is in a very good location, far enough away from the noise, but only minutes away from shops, bars, and restaurants. The rooms were lovely and the grounds too. It's right on the beach and has a nice pool, too. We had breakfast included, which had a very good choice and very nice too. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Dara Samui and Dara Serene restaurant are quite simply superb. I cannot thank the staff here enough, they are outstanding. So friendly, welcoming and polite. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would like to say extra thanks to Tor, Rit, Mook and Mr T for making our stay here so wonderful.

I was asked continually about my check out time, I had only arrived 12 hours before. I had 2 or 3 phone calls and a notification put on my door!!!? I booked for 2 nights but was telephoned after 12 hours to enquire about check out....

Loved the pool, the food was amazing and the staff were outstanding especially Tor in the restaurant.

Swimming pool was a bit small and seemed more decorative as opposed to swimmers. Wardrobe space in the rooms was lacking. For parts of the morning the beach could not be used due to the high tide so had to wait until post lunch to use the beach loungers

Breakfast choice was good. Beach location was very good. Dinner on the beach was great. Restaurant staff were attentive and always smiling

The uneven floor in the Bathroom, Toilet and shower, is a bit of a trip hazard, it pays to have a light on. The view from our Balcony was an old vacant lot from a Resort that had been demolished.

The Staff at Dara Samui were so welcoming and friendly, They made you feel very relaxed and the Breakfast was fantastic with a Chef cooking all wonderful dishes. Even though the accommodation was older, it is great Value for money. Great location to the night life.

No beach for 4 days because of high tide, not the hotels fault

Beach very small and they pit a lot of table so it doesn't feel like vacation. When we arrived we have to sing on paper thet say for every smal things that may happen well hace to pay. it doesn't feek comfortable to sing on such contract.

Lots of steps/stairs - problem if you’re not too mobile.

Great hotel location - walking distance to bars, shops, restaurants etc. and staff were so helpful ! Right on the beach with nice clean swimming pool. Breakfast good and varied. Actually stayed on 3 extra days .

Pretty much no beach, high tide every day so the pool is congested, no sunbeds available!

The pictures of the beach on there website are deceiving as the tide is in pretty much all day, the only time the tide is out is from around 7pm onwards so during the day if you want to chill on the beach you'd have to go elsewhere.

Location was spot on in the middle of the busy chaweng strip, so walking distance to everything. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast had a huge selection to choose from including freshly made eggs, omelette and pancakes etc

Wonderful staff all round! But must especially commend Nay for his engaging, excellent service poolside! and Tor at the bar for her thoughtfulness. A big thank you to Mas for making our stay extra special, and to Bobby, aswell, for his kindness. The New Year's Eve gala on the beach was such a treat! We'll remember it always. I regret I cannot recall everyone's name... reception staff were brilliant and the kind, cheerful porter was a great help with luggage and parking. Truly, a fantastic, caring team at Dara Samui!
