Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location is fine but it is not ideal. I think you need a bike to see surroundings, you should drive to the tea plantations or if you want to see some nature and local villages. To be honest, the popular night markets in the city are horrible, tourist trap... unfortunately... you can still find some nice real markets but you need a bike or taxi to get there
Room was absolutely fine, great value for money, wifi was ok but not super fast, owner recommended us a bike rental and we had no issues with renting a bike there without leaving our passport. Fresh water every day.

We had an amazing stay. The lady doing the checking in has great English and great stories! The room was lovely, AC worked great, super clean! Would definitely recommend.

The bed is kinda hard, for me having back problems is not really good.
Jan of course, like an old friend that I haven’t meet for a long time. He is really just humble, decent, calm person. Me I am not an easy person but he tried to solve all kinds of problems for me, making me feel like home.

Airco was very cold. Distance to the centre was a bit too far for walking. Especially since there is no pavement or sidewalk, most of the distance.
Very clean! The talkative landlady is helpful and knows a lot.

Far from terminal 2 bus station so take a TukTuk to center — nothing bad about the room or staff ! Thank you :)
Kind staff, clean room, great value, near to many restaurants and not far from the center of town. Could rent scooter direct from hotel. Would recommend!

- I wouldn't recommend booking the transfer to Laos through this hotel. That driver couldn't keep off his phone for 20 seconds. Very unsafe.

Wifi barely worked in our room so we had to sat in the hallway under the router to download some stuff 😅 (but some rooms are closer to the router).
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Fridge and kettle, big terrace. It’s not in the center but you can easily walk there. Nice owner who rented us a scooter and booked the 2-day boat ride to Laos for us (we got picked up by a van at the guesthouse and everything went smoothly).

In my opinion, the room we had was nicer than the picture, everything is clean and fresh, room service every day, fresh towels and complementary water, 'Jeff' the host is very funny, helpful and kind, he speaks excellent English, the house is in a quiet neighborhood but shops and eateries are just around the corner

The WiFi connection wasn't always great, but not a big problem for us.
We had a really superb stay at Jansupar Court. Our host was fantastic! Friendly, approachable and very attentive to our needs. Our room was spacious, fresh, extremely clean and well equipped. They cleaned our room everyday and provided us with fresh bottled water daily. There's also laundry service available. Location was good for us. Quiet and only about 20 min walk from the night bazar. I highly recommend this place!!
