Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This is a decent place to stay within the city and is super near Istiklal Street. I had easy access to public transport and Havist bus station.

JordanThe place can have some minimum maintenance like the sink in the bathroom, areas between the floor and the wall. And some fixes for the floor. However this didn't impact us much as we use the place to sleep and be close to the Istiklal street and public transportation.
If you are looking for something cheap yet clean and in a good location, this is the place. To manage your expectations, the place is very close to Taksim, we just got to sleep there and spend all day traveling in Istanbul. We liked how very friendly and helpful the owners were. They allowed us a late check out, they even got us some fruits as a welcome. The place is quiet and walking distance from Taksim square (2 minutes) which is the metro station as well. The room we booked is equipped with AC (heat/cool), TV, private bathroom, 5 windows, 1 queen bed, 1 single bed and even 1 portable bed. We had a refrigerator and small kitchen. We would go back. And again keep your expectations low as you're not paying much.

RomaniaWhile the apartment was overall good for me, there were some issues. The main problem is that the rooms require at least some renovations. For example, the shower suffered (sometimes) from low water pressure, and some of the furniture was visibly old while the floor was uneven. Not that big of a problem, but don't expect this room to look like it's new. Some renovations will make this place amazing. We also had an issue with cleanliness with the sheets and floor at the beginning and a lack of towels and flippers when we arrived, but we made the owner aware of it and he got someone to fix the issue instantly. So if you have any issues, go talk to him.
If you don't have high expectations, this place is actually very good depending on the type of person you are. You have a fridge, a safe, private shower and toilet, and the bed is comfortable and you get wifi. The building felt secure, and the place was quiet. The star of this apartment was the location. You are placed in the heart of Istanbul, surrounded by loads of attractions, food places, shops, and facilities, while the area has plenty of people and police around it. The owner is a great guy that speaks English, and is always ready to help! Also, the price felt fair for what you got, overall a great low-cost place for someone who is active and wants to simply get out and explore Istanbul.

EstoniaReading the list of all the amenities provided, we were convinced that we would get an apartment, not the usual cramped hotel room where you don't even have a proper table. Unfortunately, the description provided by Budak on this site is grossly misleading. For instance, it says "This spacious apartment includes [---] a private kitchen with a dining area." That's a rotten lie. Far from being spacious, this so-called apartment is no bigger than an average hotel room. There was nothing like a kitchen. The "dining area" consisted of a small table which technically could have been unfolded, except that there was no room for it. Also be aware that this is not an actual hotel. There is no reception. It's a regular house whose front door may be open or closed. Most of the day, there are no members of the personnel in the building. When you arrive, you have the choice between calling the proprietor on a local number or waiting by the front door hoping for him to turn up. When we asked the proprietor to bring us an additional blanket, he refused and we had to buy one at a shop in the city. The water pressure was very low most of the time, so it was only three or four times during the two-week holiday that I was able to have what I consider a proper shower.
This establishment is in a good location right next to the Taksim square, very close to a bus station and a metro station. The neighborhood seemed very safe and there was almost no disturbing noise. Also the airport bus stop is but a short walk away. There were an electric kettle and couple of plates and cups and tablespoons and such, which was helpful. The proprietor is a great guy, fun and friendly.

IndonesiaThe property was a bit noisy at dawn. I awakened several times because of the noise from outside (loud chatting voice and people arguing).
Location is very strategist. Very close to different kind of transportations (bus, metro, tram). The surroundings also very lively, very touristy. If you like crowded area and or night life, i think this place is for you. Mr Aras, the owner, also very helpful and transparent with us about his property. The apartment is old, but everything function well. The bed also nice and the room was clean. Price also affordable. Safety also good.

EgyptFacilities, - Hot water is only in the shower - Need a fan or something to draw smell away from bathroom. - Wi-Fi speed was not consistent and leaning to the slow side, probably due to others using it. - Need an actual 24/7 reception because not all visitors have internet or sim card upon arrival.
Location is amazing, - 3 min walk from Taksim Square and Istiqlal Street. - 3 min walk from Ferhat Supermarket. - Quiet but safe location. Facilities are good, - Hot water in the shower - Bathroom is nice, clean and moderate size - Lighting is very good. Staff support, - Very friendly, kind and accessible via WhatsApp.
