Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I didnt like the fact that there was no key for the room but maybe thats the thing with hostels in Istanbul since I havent got a key in another hostel too.
I spent only one night here but it was nice, the staff was very kind and the room and toilet were clean.

Prepare yourself to climb up each time to the fifth floor if you are sleeping in the dormitory (but the terrace is nice!)
Very hipster hostel, pretty relaxed and quite empty at the time I visited! Bonus: Kadikoy is just amazing!

My room was a bit dirty, the floor wasn't hoovered, apparently. There were no electric outlets next to the bed, which is not very convenient.
The location is great. Pretty quiet outside.

I think for the price, the room is too small and also the bathroom isn't the nicest looking. Shower was good though.
I arrived in the night but the guy behind the desk was super friendly!! The room was small but convenient! Bef wad comfy. They have an amazing garden and also their breakfast is great! Good location and also good areas where you can chill!

All good considering the low price
Good location in Kadikoy, not super far from metro. HAVAIST bus 8 minute walk. I had a single room and it was heated in winter and quiet. Good value for money.

Poor ventilation in 8-bed dorm room, no curtains for each bunk bed, limited bathroom facilities, furniture on fifth floor terrace was breaking down

The kitchen wasn’t very clean at times. The fridge had lots of food in it that was old and gross. I would recommend the hostel checks the fridge more often.
We stayed in a private room which was very nice and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. They gave us a good price when we extended our stay. The hot water had stopped working and they fixed it immediately, even putting in a new hot water system to properly address the problem. The location was great, lots of nice cafes near by, it’s also close to the metro. Easy to catch the ferry or metro to the European side of the city.

There is no place to put your clothes or towel in the bathroom

Actually quite everything about it made sense they way it is
The vibe and the atmosphere is an exceptional experience. The hostel makes you feel belonged to a family. Everyone is so nice and as far as I know everyone seems to associate Hush with this. The lively atmosphere is SUPER

Super low clearance on some of the bunk beds. I’m only 177cm and hit my head almost every time getting in and out of bed. Definitely avoidable, though.
Good location, clean and strong WiFi (plus a dedicated work area). Plenty of common spaces to meet other travellers.

the toilet was in extremely poor conditions. despite the attempt of keeping it clean it was old, broken and continuously smelling pipes. Too much also for a hostel with reasonable cheap prices
perfect location in the center of Kadikoy in a very silent place. Walkable distance from the metro direct to the airport and from the ferries. The room was nice and very clean

Hated the 5 flights of stairs and the kitchen fridge was usually overloaded but that’s hostel life.
The staff are very lovely, the neighbourhood is awesome and the general vibes are friendly. The garden and roof terrace are great hang out areas. They had room for cyclists to lock up their stuff and had bbqs on weekends.
