How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is really nice, so close to Taksim Square, subway station and also Havaist station. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff were kind and helpful.

Breakfast was very limited for outsiders.
The location was soo good that you get easy access to taksim square as well as you can get any items when you exit the hotel. There are lots of hotels near by perfect location for tourist.

My only very minor 'gripe' is that the cappuccino was not up to standard.
Excellent breakfast, plentiful and varied buffet with local specialities. Excellent service; the maître d very kindly and speedily offered a packed breakfast because we were departing half an hour earlier than the opening of the breakfast room.

The bed sheets weren’t clean. One of them had a few stains on it.
The location is very convenient. It’s very close to Istiklal street and few steps away from Havaist bus stop in case you take a bus from Istanbul Airport

The breakfast buffet was very good!!! Freshly prepared and hot-warm dishes with natural ingredients and attendance to detail. The staff at the breakfast area was excellent. Attended to every detail and desire with a big genuine smile.

Breakfast could have more variety, it was quite basic.
Location at it’s prime 5 mins walk to Istiklal street and Taksim Square. Lots of shops around the vicinity ( Supermarket, Sim Card shop, cafes and restaurants)

The walls are thin and we could hear the neighboring rooms as well as door slamming throughout the night (esp. between 12-2 am). Perhaps we were unlucky to have very loud neighbors who liked telling jokes after midnight! The room was a bit dark with only one small window that was not facing the sun. Small nuances such as one old plug which was hanging off the wall.
The staff are very friendly and polite. The location is good; safe neighborhood and close to the metro stop and super markets as well as Taksim Square and Istiklal street. The beds were comfortable and the room was Ok-size. Daily room service and renewal of supply (water, tea-bags, shampoo, etc). Breakfast is good and there is lots of options in the buffet. The options remain more or leas the same everyday. sauna, pool and gym are free for all guests; we did not use them during our stay, so I cannot comment on the quality. This hotel is not very close to the clubs and loud passways, so we did not have issues with street noise during the night.

The air quality near the hotel is not very good, but this is expected since you are in the middle of the city.
Great location, very close to Taksim Square. If you are planning to go to Istanbul Airport, Havaist buses are only 20 meters away walking distance. Very clean rooms and rich continental breakfast.

The breakfast was poor, cheap ingredients and poor selection. The staff struggled with English. The rooms are quite small. Swimming hat required in the pool - seriously!!! and tried to explain that it was because of the high standards of pool cleanliness - absolute nonsense. It didn't feel like a real Ramada

Needs more family options. Not the best value for money.
