Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyExcellent location, really close to the centre of town and the basilica. The scent from the wisteria and orange blossom trees was amazing in the small lane. Check in was very smooth and being able to park outside was very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The room was a good size and the shower was large and modern.

GermanyThe hotel is situated in walking distance to the city center in the historic area of the town. It is very close to the remains of the church of Saint John, the castle and other points of interest. A good breakfast is served on the roof terrace with a gorgeous view.

OmanWe expected complimentary bottled drinking water along with tea/coffee as its provided in hotels of the equivalent range. Everytime you need to enter the hotel, a person from inside needs to open it for you. Although it didn't take much time for us, it could be bothersome.
Centrally located as mentioned. Easy access to many areas.

New ZealandVery unwelcoming reception from young man on front desk (not so much about not speaking English but no info given, no greeting given or any smile). Rooms were very bland and out dated, also without linen upon arrival There was no welcome drink or mini bar as indicated. Also, very unusual not have any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was poor and very limited. It was noisy within the hotel at night.
Stunning location(St John's Basilica and castle) and central to bus Station and restaurants.

SpainUnfortunately, the person on reception spoke hardly any English, though we had no real problems. But the whole hotel was a huge disappointment. The rooms, I think, were furnished in the 1970s and lack any kind of charm. I awoke in the middle of our first night and said out loud 'Oh, I hate this room!' My husband, who was also awake at the time, agreed. Cleaning lacked attention to detail: scuff marks on the walls, hair in the sink drain, and tired or broken items: the shower doors had been removed, for instance, and a light bulb was missing in the corridor at our end of the corridor, making access in the dark tricky. The price struck me as expensive, but we moved from our original choice at short notice, when we discovered we would have been on the second floor, with no lift (my husband, at 72, finds stairs difficult these days). The Selena had the (only) advantage of ground floor rooms. But our 'deluxe' room certainly was not. We won't be going back to the Selena. Sorry.
This family-run small hotel is in a great location for the centre of Selcuk, and very close to the Basilica of St John. The owners were very helpful in chasing up a taxi that we asked to arrive at 11.00am, and which finally arrived around 11.30am.

IsraelThere isn't much good to say about this basically run down place. From the moment we arrived everything was bad. There was no water in the room and the manager rudely told us to go buy some ! Probably the only hotel I have ever seen that didn't offer water. Then we moved the bed over a bit and it was a pile of dust and dirt which took us about 20 mins to clean since there is no real cleaning service here it's just 1 old guy running it at night. The light didn't work so we only had the bathroom light which made a sound from the vent which is needed since it has no window. Also the bed sheets felt so old they itched from being so old and tough. The breakfast was stale bread, no coffee, nothing fresh, no fruit, just packaged jam, very old cheeses and some supposedly home baked cookies with no flavor. The location was ok but the whole city is small so its all close. The room also always smelled like smoke since they smoke right outside and it enters the hallway and through the windows. I wouldn't recommend in any way, especially considering how great most places usually are in Turkey but this one lacks heart and maintenance.
Hmmmm... nothing

Puerto RicoWell this place is not that it was bad, it is that we thought it would be something else. To begin with, the owner of the hotel does not speak much English although he always greeted us with a smile. The cleanliness in the bathroom left a lot to be desired and the little toilet paper made us a bit desperate. There is no telephone in the room so if you have any questions you have to go down to the reception. Breakfast was always boiled egg and we had to buy coffee because we never saw there. They helped us find a laboratory to test us for COVID but we felt that we paid mora money than than was supposed as well as the taxi they got us to see the attractions of the city.
