Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaLimited food choices nearby and having to get to town and back by taxi. Not sure if hotel is on the bus route? Bit inconvenient because only 1 all-purpose soap dispenser in shower area and none for sink area.
Nearby esplanade is a good place for walking and enjoying sea view. Laundromat is 3 min away, very convenient. Also night market is 15-20 min walk away. Free snacks in dining hall and water dispenser on each floor. Also, good that hotel is environmentally friendly.

TaiwanMore vegetarian options at breakfast would have been nice - there was meat in a lot of the dishes. The reflective film on the balcony windows makes it a little akward to see outside, as does the angle the window opens at. I know that's not really something that can be changed, but the window opens towards the intersection, rather than towards the park and ocean. Also, there's no hand soap. The only soap available is the multi-purpose liquid soap/shampoo mounted in the shower. There was some renovation happening in the building, which I wasn't notified of. Luckily I woke up just before it began anyway!
Very spacious, and very good soundproofing. I didn't hear the traffic noise at all. Easy to find parking in the area. The staff were helpful in pointing out where to park. Breakfast hours were good for me, and I thought the hotel is well-located between the main city area and the outer edge of town.

United KingdomThe so-called balcony is actually part of the building's exterior, with lights controlled by the hotel rather than controlled by the guest. It's really not part of the room's facilities. Not really an issue, just a point of clarification.
The receptionist was friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was good and Parking was close to the hotel. Room is spacious.

United Kingdom1) On the booking website, it says the property provides free bike riders to tourist attractions (within 3 hours), but when I arrived the hotel, and was told the offer is no longer there. 2) In the hotel lobby, there is a leaflet about the hotel, it says the hotel provides free shuttle service to/from the airport and train station, but after checking with the receptionist, was told it is only available if you made the booking direct with the hotel
The room size is good, and clean enough The breakfast buffet is good, lots varieties. There is a drinking machine located at each floor There are 24 hours free coffee/tea/snack available.

United States of AmericaThey didn’t clean the room but just changed towels (didn’t even empty the bins) when we asked & left the key at the front desk. The location is a bit far from the restaurants, bars, night market etc. The staff hardly spoke English.
The room: comfortable beds, good shower, and there’s a water dispenser in the hallway.

United States of AmericaThe facility was a bit old, but the stay was still comfy and enjoyable.
The place's location is great. We took a walk to the nearby park with a long beach front after check-in. Breakfast buffet was standard and did the job. Eateries and a laundromet were all within a few minute walk away and convenient. Parking was basically just around the building and fcfs, but we didn't have a problem. The room has a covered balcony that looked out to the sea. An open balcony would have been better for the view, but I guess street noise would have discounted that experience greatly.

JapanFirst of all, they have an automatic light on the porches that turns on at 5 and stays on until 10 so you can’t actually use the balcony as advertised because the light prohibits you from seeing any view. So don’t be fooled into booking a room with a balcony because it’s unusable. Also- a bar with view was advertised but there is no bar anymore even though there is even a sign for it. Also our room was never cleaned so we had to find a way to get rid of our own trash and scrounge in the hallway closets for new towels. Also the elevator broke and the very rude staff at the front desk didn’t care in the slightest that guests had to walk up ten flights of stairs. No soundproofing whatsoever and the breakfast was frankly inedible. Finally, there is a hallway light next to the bathroom that doesn’t turn off so you basically have to sleep all night with a light one in your room. This hotel really should lose a star or two- it’s barely functioning as a hotel.
The shower was warm. The TV had a variety of good channels.
