There was a reconstruction goong on, which was so annoying. I wish they were fair and told us before. I am very disapointed.

People from Zanzibar are extremely nice, natural environment is very nice and the resort is beautiful.

Got all inclusive plan during our stay - food and beverage options were great. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Hotel amenities were pretty decent. Overall, we loved our stay in the hotel.

The desserts were always a miss, there is a room for improvement. Rest of the food was amazing. The gym needs a renovation and new equipments that works.

The bed linen and towels need a refresh as do some of the beds and mosquito nets. It’s a very large hotel so that’s worth bearing in mind.

It’s a good hotel for children and families. They have a Safari sister hotel in the Selous national park which was why we stayed there and that was FANTASTIC! The hotel in the national park is basic but clean and comfortable with a swimming pool, LOVELY staff and good food! The park and staff for the Safari were brilliant!

Where the forest meet the Ocean 😍, Reef&Beach Resort is a little Paradise on Earth. The all inclusive was a great deal! The food was on the top 🍉🍍🥐🍗🥞🍕🍟🧁, a lot of varieties. I enjoyed the red monkeys coming everyday on my terrace. The white sand and the sea offering a beautiful scenery, and bringing an instant peace of mind&soul.

the breakfast menu is not so great, it is the same buffet each morning, and the options are not for my personal taste. But there are a lot of options others may enjoy.

The lunch and dinner menu changes each day, and the food is well prepared. The staff are attentive, and bring you drinks at meals.

No sandy beach as described. Hotel allowed guests to place towels on beds despite the fact there were signs saying you couldnt. Sometimes not enough sun beds in the shade. The hotel section looked a bit tired in places .

Fabulous views , beautiful sea , sea view bungalow was lovely, jetty bar fabulous (lovely breeze) , varied food in buffet style restaurant , a la carte restaurant lovely, (amani deserves a special mention, fabulous waiter) staff all amazing and friendly . Wildlife in the grounds , monkeys and bush babies . Fab hotel

The pool closes too early. They should at least let guest swim until 10/11pm, sun is too hot during the day for some of us to swim.

What an awesome resort. The staff were superb, just so friendly and welcoming. This is truly the place to go if you want to experience high levels of hospitality. The resort is overall beautiful, just so relaxing, and absolute value for money.

Food was okay. Seating to eat was difficult as once it was full downstairs, you had to go upstairs, where there wasn't much service. Perhaps everyone should eat at different times? The a'la carte restaurant had really delicious food - at a cost. There wasn't always enough deck chairs at the pool as some visitors seem to 'book' them for the day. Bigger cocktail glasses would also be good as drinks were super strong.

Lovely resort with super friendly staff. Beach is lovely when the tide is in.

The Spa treatment was horrible. A salesman came up to me when I was sitting on the beach chairs and was talking to me about the packages, he made it sound amazing and I decided to book the big cleopatra package as it was my husband's birthday the next day and thought it would be a nice surprise. The first thing we experienced as we walked into the spa was a staff member smoking a cigarette on the stairs near a window, which definitely is not what you want when you walk into a spa. The staff members didn't speak very much English and could not explain to us what they were about to do, and instead just pointed to things. We had a sauna and and then immediately went to sit on a burning hot table and they scrubbed us with some sort of coconut, and put something on our faces and left us in the room. Because we had just come from the sauna and were on a hot table, with the sun shining directly on us from the floor to ceiling window, we were sweating and the products were getting in our eyes, so we had to sit up and wipe our faces off with towels. they then gestured for us to follow them out of the room. and pointed to a hallway that had 2 showers in it with no doors attached. There were both men and women going past and it was very uncomfortable for both of us. when we went back into the room with the hot tables I could barely lay on it as it was so hot, they needed to put a towel down for me and even then I felt like it was burning me. They then used a towel to put foam on us and the person doing my husbands actually flung it into my eyes as she slapped it down on him, they then had us sit on the edge of the hot tables while they poured water on us from a big bucket, we felt like dogs being washed. While we were sitting there, half naked, they were opening the doors and walking in and out with other people outside the room. We then went for the massage which was okay, but the music was so so loud it actually gave me a headache.

The resort is so gorgeous! The views surrounding the entire property were amazing. We had the all-inclusive package and the food at the buffet was great, a very wide variety of foods, and all super fresh. We stayed in the beachfront villa and the room was simple but good and had air conditioning. It is not as if you spend much time in the room anyway. The villas have their own private beach lounge chairs too.

I guess an elevator would have been nice, also the whole “premium” versus “regular” all inclusive really annoyed me. It seemed like the selection of cocktails included under regular all inclusive was quite limited and was never made aware in advance of the premium option.

Everything! This place is truly paradise. The photos are very accurate - it is a delightful escape from routine, a hidden gem. This resort struck the perfect balance for me - not too big so it was not overwhelming, but definitely not too small so I never got bored. My room was massive and the view from my balcony was simply breathtaking. The food was great and varied every day. The selection of desserts at every meal…OMG. The staff were friendly, compared to other hotels I stayed at if felt sincere and not like people were being nice just to get a tip. The staff were approachable, everything was accessible, I’m definitely going to visit this hotel again. My only complaint is about the premium inclusive nonsense

Shower pressure was often non existent and frequent power cuts There was a glass panel above our door and the neighbours bedroom light kept coming in and made it difficult to sleep!! Buffet food was mediocre, A La Carte you had to pay for was very good

Located on the east side of the island, results in higher costs incurred to travel to and from the airport and Stone Town.

Meals were mostly good on the all inclusive, lots of variety supplied so few repetitions. Staff are exceptionally helpful and often go above and beyond to assist.

The staff were adorable, and the food/cuisine, the location and facilities were absolutely outstanding. Perfect for a break, away from the stress, just relaxing by the beach and enjoying a great service. Loved it!

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like. Occasionally the food could do with being hotter.

It was very clean. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. Plenty of food available in main restaurant and usually a good selection. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The beach boys were not a problem, like in the north of the island.
