Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe rooms were extremely outdated and dingey. It was like staying in a Super 8. You didn't receive glasses in the rooms--only paper cups. The accommodations were fine, but they were absolutely not "luxury," and I consider any reference to "luxury" to be false advertising. I also heard of other guests receiving free upgrades, which of course is disappointing if you're stuck in the ugly and old Super 8 rooms. Parking is also quite difficult and far--I think valet should be cheaper to accommodate this significant shortcoming.
The resort didn't offer late checkout, but they were accommodating in storing the bags. Also the pool attendants were quite nice. The shops were also quite nice, well-curated, and reasonably priced given the location. Common spaces were inviting and well-maintained, with lots of comfortable spots to sit and enjoy the fire in a proper lodge atmosphere. The resort food was fine for the price.

United States of AmericaRates varied by the night but were pushing 800.00 which is high. Nothing else really stands out as a negative.
This has to be the best full service resort in Alaska. Rooms appear to have been updated, hotel is very clean and well run. Food and drinks were reasonable and ski in /out location is great. Would stay here again.

United States of AmericaThe price of the rooms did not seem worth it. The rooms had a spoiled smell to it. The bed was hard and there was no microwave. And the view was the back of building. It should have been discounted. Not sure if I will go back.
The restaurant was expensive but excellent!

United States of AmericaWe booked two queen beds, but they were definitely full size beds. For the price we paid here, I would have loved to have the bigger beds we paid for. Free breakfast also would have been great :)
The location and scenery was beautiful. The valet workers were so accommodating and gave us a personal ride down to the ski resort. The spa here was amazing and so clean.

United States of AmericaYou definitely need your own transportation as shuttle services to and from Anchorage are very expensive and the resort isn’t near enough to town to make it walkable. The staff isn’t very personable and your basically on your own to find your way around the property and see what services are available on site, meal options, etc
Alyeska is in a great location being less than an hour from Anchorage and two hours from Seward. There is self parking available which is a good savings.

United States of AmericaThe rooms didn't have air conditioning. It got pretty hot in the summer at night. Opening the windows helped with ventilation significantly . Something to be mindful about since I didn't notice this before booking.
Great location and the facilities also very good.

United States of AmericaBeds & pillows were not acceptable for $1000.00 per night! The $20.00 for a one hour late check out was ludicrous for what I paid for one night!

United States of AmericaMany staff members were not helpful at all and in fact the bartender was quite rude to almost everyone at the bar the night we were there. We are used to getting great service as we are always very nice and positive. The exception was that the bellmen were very helpful.
