Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast was meh, but was free and made to order so maybe I chose the wrong MTO.
Location was convenient in town close to everything. Gift shop in lobby and all in all the it was so charming!

Big and clean room, very friendly receptionist. The Hotel lends sleds to be used in the White Sands National Park. The perfect place to visit White Sands, would definitely book again here.

Room did not come with a safe like I had asked before booking. Sound insulation is not good so when cars drive by playing loud bass music, you can hear noise vibrations very easily.

I wish that we had known that some of the rooms have been converted to non-carpet, so we could have requested that. If someone is a light sleeper, the road noise was a little loud, but we were totally fine with earplugs. As with a lot of restaurants post-Covid, the on-site breakfast varied in time it took due to staffing. The first morning was super fast. The second morning, there was only one person in the kitchen and he was in the weeds. He was so nice and trying to stay on top of the orders. It was just busy for one person. If you plan accordingly or order something that is quicker, it is fine. Just may take some patience or adaptability (which not all guests had). The pillows were pretty hard. It would have been nice to have some different density options.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This hotel is a really good vlaue. The first room we were in had some issues, but the staff was so accommodating and helpful to move us to a different room. We really appreciated it. The 2nd room was good. The bed was firm but comfortable. Good size. We liked having a refrigerator. Location for going to White Sands was great. It was nice to have some restaurants nearby for after hiking. Breakfast was delicious. The big towels were a nice touch.

Breakfast took forever after ordering!!! Need to get that sorted out. And I went kind of late and didn't seem like there was THAT big of a rush. Room was maybe a little dated but hey it's the desert in Alamogordo.
I chose this one due to proximity to White Sands NP. 15 minutes away! Staff waited for me to arrive even though I was coming in late at night. Room had everything I needed. Good breakfast.

Noisy people could be heard very well from room to room. Carpet and bedspreads were a little dingy and bed was not very comfortable.
Overall it was clean and breakfast was amazing! We had the southwest burrito for the free option and it was piping hot and huge! Absolutely loved it! Staff was very friendly and informative.

LIghts outside were bright, hard to shut them out completely. Guest in the room next to mine was quite loud, though obviously not the hotel's fault. Bathroom could use an update.
Staff were very pleasant, room was clean and tidy, though could use an update. This hotel has character. Breakfast options looked great but I didn't have time to partake. Seemed above the normal continental spread.
