Room 8 gives you a taste of a rather old fashioned English country hotel. Has sofa. Comfortable. Large video library downstairs. Interesting decor.

No staff. No smiling faces. No one there, just a number to call for emergencies.

Beautiful grounds and the room was nice. Very modern bathroom. Ideal location to see the mountain the next day. Comfy sitting room to read and relax and gorgeous pond. Vending machines nice. Did not order breakfast, thought we were too late to order, and did not have email available to see they sent a note...

Great location, but a little pricey

    • Standard room with 2 Queen Beds, Room #4 (NO Pets)

Was a little pricey - $500+ for two nights for one room with two queen beds. Bed mattresses in room #4 also were uncomfortable and desperately need to be replaced as they sink in the middle. Some of the rooms require going up/down a set of stairs which may be a little difficult for the elderly.

Great location by the Mt Rainier Nisqually entrance gate. Only took us two minutes driving to get there from the lodge. Nice rustic interior with a beautiful natural looking pond. Water pressure was good, and the heat promptly turned on when we increased the temperature. Having WiFi was also a plus, where we could do some research before entering the park, though a little slow.

Part of the uniqueness is that there are things that are out of date or mismatched. But if you can get past that - it’s a great stay.

Unique property! Very close to Rainier entrance (5 miles EAST of Ashford).

Good lodge but too highly priced
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Pond Studio Suite (Pet Friendly)
    • Stayed 1 night

Price is way too high for the amenities offered. Breakfast (which is pre-ordered and delivered to the room) is very ordinary. For the price I was charged maybe I should have stayed outside the park and driven in a short distance

Alexander's Lodge is situated just outside Mt Rainier National Park, less than a mile from the entrance. Location is great. There is a nice restaurant in the vicinity called Wild Berry. Facilities are good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. Water was piping hot. The room/yurt overlooked a lake and a small waterfall. Very picturesque. The lodge has a quaint look to it which I really liked.

It would be nice if the windows of the main lounge were opened as it has the overwhelming smell of furniture polish. There should be less sugar in the breakfast options.

The old fashioned feel of the lodge.

We would have paid an extra $5-7 for a fresh croissant with ham & egg, or a bagel with ham/salmon for breakfast instead of the microwavable ham & egg sandwich.

Nice and quiet with pretty greenery.
