눉The Staff was unhelpfull. I reserved a Patio room and the hotel instead gave me a room on the second floor as they did not have any patios rooms to give even though I booked and paid for one. DISAPOINTED I was very excited to stay at this hotel as i had planned a fun getaway with my girlfriends. A day of wine tasting and spa treatments in a beautiful hotel. From my first check in on Friday I was nothing but disappointed. My reservation started on Friday 8/5. We arrived at the Hotel early as we had plans to go Wine Tasting Friday. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30am since we had a driver coming to pick us up there at 11:30 for a afternoon of Wine Tasting. Checked in and had the bellhop hold our luggage. My room reservation was booked for a Patio Double Queen Room. When we arrived back after a day of wine tasting (about 5pm) to get our room I was shocked to have a room on the second floor. When I asked how this was since I had a Patio reservation i was told that there were only 8 rooms of this type available and there was none left I needed to have arrived earlier. Not quite understanding why the room I booked several months ago and paid a deposit for was not available I was a bit irritated. Quite simply if you offer and sell a room as a patio..then I fully expect that is what I am getting. No one at the front desk offered to resolve this and I actually had to call down twice to get to speack to someone on this, who quite simply blew me off and said it was my fault for getting to hotel at 5pm. Never mind that I had actually arrived at 10:30am, and also reserved this exact type of room...it was my fault...clearly not the fault of the hotel which obviously overbooked these rooms or choose to upgrade others to these instead. The front desk had to be the iciest group of people I have ever encountered while traveling. On most occassions they did not even greet you when you came into the lobby or up to the front desk.

눉My main reason for the less than perfect review is the safety of the resort. We stayed in a room with a pool view with a patio. It was easy for other guest or people who were not guest to access the patio and walk right into the room. There are no room numbers or anything on patio to indicate which room you are walking into. My 14 year daughter had a strange man walk into the room while she was in there. We complained to the front desk and were basically told that sense we booked through a third party there was nothing they could do to accommodate us for such an incident. So I guess safety of guests is only important if you book your stay through the hotel directly. Our bathroom was also dirty with vomit or something splattered on the walls.
눇The property is beautiful and in a great location. The courtyard with fire pits was a great place to relax. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were decorated nicely.
