My room felt like a cave. Only window had a view of a brick wall/other rooms. Terrible view. Ashame - the hotel was not nearly at full occupancy. Staff could have easily provided a better view. Also, there was debris in the toilet and on the toilet seat upon check-in. Housekeeping clearly did not clean the toilet at all.

Paid for ocean suite and room available was a partial view. Have stayed at this hotel at least 9 or 10 times. I know what a full and partial view of the ocean is at this location. Staff was completely uninterested in what I had to say. No sense of loyalty. Very disappointing to say the least

1. Cleanliness- the restaurant was dirty, skirting boards and pillars very visibly dirty. Needed a good spring clean. Carpets all over the hotel were dirty too. Paintwork is shabby, needing touch-up. It is end of season but no excuse for dirt! 2. Food- Restaurant food was not good, we had dinner (which was served in the bar area), it was chip shop standard and very poor choice. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was mediocre. For a hotel with such a brilliant location, it's a pity to not have good food, it could easily be a destination restaurant in shoulder season. A tiny coffee shop down the boardwalk was packed for breakfast each morning...missed opportunity Allegria!!!! 3. Selection at little shop at reception was bad, there were no yoghurts or plain cookies, just hummus and crisps. 4. Bike Hire- At $100 a day, out of season, to HOTEL GUESTS, this was way overpriced and we didn't avail of it.

Staff were fabulous, especially Jeannette on reception who checked in these tired travellers and was SO nice and welcoming. She was also excellent anytime we asked her anything. We were delighted with our upgrade too, which gave us great beach views from the room. Bar staff on M level were also very nice on the night we were there. The hotel has an AMAZING location! 2 mins from a wonderful boardwalk and beach! Rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely and spacious, with 2 big sinks and a good shower. Housekeeping for the room was very good. There was a little shop area at reception for snacks and toiletries.

Couldn't open the window for fresh air - No laundry facilities available - Cost of bike rental - No umbrella for the beach (supposedly out of season, but the hotel was booked) - Did not include breakfast. -

Being charged a resort fee that I never used. I’m a member of a private club on Atlantic beach. We switched hotels when our children/dog left.

Appeal is that my children were able to bring their dog. Only reason we stayed there.

There’s no terrace/outdoor restaurant and we were disappointed that the pool closed at 6pm. It would have been nice to enjoy the sunset from the rooftop pool. The bar on the rooftop was closed and we had to go down to get drinks. The bathrooms weren’t in best condition (they had their years) as a bit mould in the shower. We didnt like the ambience in the bar (felt like being in a lobby). We were very disappointed about the area around. It was hard to find decent restaurants and absolutely nothing on the boardwalk to sit outside for a drink or meal which seems to be the US way.

They’ve upgraded us to a spacious suite with sea view. The beds were comfortable. The beautiful wide sandy beach was just in front across the boardwalk. Very friendly reception team.

#1. When I called to question something about our room prior days before our arrival I was greeting by a lovely reservation associate. She was kind enough to upgrade us from a interior view jr. suite to a city view. When we checked in the room was not ready and we were told that upgrade should never have happened. Those rooms are for the airlines. However the girl at the front desk did try to accommodate the upgrade. However, the room would not be ready for quite a while and it was clear she was not thrilled. We waited for the original interior view room to be ready. It was disappointing it was not ready at 4:00 the check in time. #2. Outside the two windows in our room is a ledge as part of the building architecture. Obviously this was not a good design because each ledge was full of pigeon poop!! It was absolutely nauseating!! Our bed was right up to the window and that's what we saw when we looked out. In addition, metal spikes were put up to deter the birds which had feathers all over them. It was truly horribly disgusting. I could not stay there again.

Being on the beach. That is the main reason we chose this hotel. We liked having two bathrooms in the jr. suite.

Air conditioning too difficult to regulate. Either too strong or too weak. Lighting in room too harsh. I asked for a quiet room but I was not given a room in the quiet section. This was prime time and the costs were prime high. It is not worth it but there are not really any alternatives which are acceptable. There was a beautiful wedding there on Sat night and so the hotel was very full. Stairs are difficult to use and elevator can be slow. Lucky for me, our family has a better beach entry which we used. Boardwalk is fun to wander. Service is ok.
