Staff could be more knowledgeable about transportation in the area. We asked about using the Trolley but they didn't know anything about it. So we had to find someone in a store who told us it only runs in the summer months.

The room itself didn't match the photos I saw online. It was very spacious, but not a lot of character, considering the beautiful building and surrounds. Very plain. Coffee maker, but no bar fridge in the room.

The staff are really lovely and the location is excellent. Breakfast was a nice selection and the restaurant food was great.

Hotel was ok. Quite expensive for what you get but its ocean front. Thats what you pay for it. Everything else was pretty basic.

Grieved about the parking. My room was tucked away towards the very back of the building. It’s like “we’re going to put you way back here since you only paid x amount of dollars”. And then when you get to the hotel, there’s a n added $30 fee then $75 for parking. I would’ve been better off paying more for having these amenities

The toilet in my room was broken. The bathtubs don't have plugs and are therefore unusable. The shower is substandard. The furniture is old and worn. The wood on doors and trim are chipped and peeling. The breakfast is awful -- packaged muffins and yogurt. The cost to stay here is way too high considering the hotel is fading and needs a total remodel.

The staff tried their best to accommodate guests in a hotel that's in disrepair. Shout out to Kyle the valet -- he's a polite gentleman who truly cares about guests.

The noise from the room upstairs. They were just walking normally and yet it felt and sounded like stomping. It wasn't the people. It was the thin floors. Won't stay again unless we're on the top floor.

Connecting rooms were loud, you could hear everything from the neighbors. The AC unit worked well but was loud.

Location was the best. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom with walk in huge shower, attentive help, beautiful place.

The condition of the rooms is disappointing for the price. We've had better condition rooms in the motels we stayed at. The room furniture is not great and there was no fridge in our room. You could also hear most other rooms slam doors at night and early in morning. The uncarpetted corridors mean that you can hear every footstep of people walking outside your room.

The location is unbeatable for the beach and Catalina ferry.

Our room did not have the mini fridge or microwave as listed. The floor was sticky, there was only 1 hook to hang towels in the bathroom/room (which is odd for a beach hotel) and the walls are so thin we were woken up at 1am to our neighbors coming home from the bars and proceeded to have a lengthy and loud conversation.

The location is fantastic, this is what you're paying for. Continental breakfast was convenient. I liked how the room was divided in two with the beds on either side for privacy.

the rooms though clean were somewhat simplistic and could have done with some colour, paintings carpet or rugs, though being near the beach I can understand why they dont have these. However, because of this sound carried terribly and that I suppose would have been the biggest problem. In addition to this I felt the price was somewhat high for what was on offer.

In comparison with some reviews, I found the place, clean, with good bathroom products, and clearly had recently been renovated. the bed was comfortable and the shower good. I didnt use the hot tub as I didnt have time.
