Although maybe not the newest and most luxurious hotel you’re going to stay at, it was a really good value and a good location, clean, comfortable and a pretty decent breakfast with friendly service. It was a really convenient location to walk to all the local attractions and sites that make this area so interesting.

The WiFi is weak. When I could connect, my computer advised unsecure system. On my phone I could connect but I kept loosing signal.

We've stayed here numerous times. Great place. Great location. Short walk to downtown. Awesome view from the raised gazebo. Staff is great. We'll definitely be back.

The toilet was low for arthritic knees, but the shower was nice. Pool was small, however, swimming was not a priority for us.

The location was perfect -- close to all the restaurants, shops, and museums that we wanted to visit. The staff was super helpful, especially Lavetta who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. Our room had 3 windows that opened which was great for ventilation. Every aspect of the property was terrific for our stay. We will return!

Breakfast was good if arrived early - before 9am but items not always available after this time, even though service was until 9.30. Including basics such as bagels and bread. The pool wasn’t heated

I didn’t like the fact that it was more like a motel than a hotel with anyone walking by able to look in the rooms.

The breakfast was clean and bright, but the food was very average packaged cereal, Danish, and yogurt. The freeze-dried eggs and sausage were subpar.

This review is based on the fact that this is a true retro "motel". When I checked in I asked if I needed to request to have my room cleaned every day of the five days, and they said that it is standard to have all rooms cleaned daily without a request. I haven't seen that post-Covid, so that was nice. The breakfast was standard powered eggs, packaged danishes, and yogurt, but the food and coffee were plentiful and the area was very clean and bright. The location was amazing in the heart of the historic district. We sat out on the raised gazebo a couple of nights watching the boats come in as we enjoyed the late afternoon charcuterie board that was provided between 5:00-6:00 p.m. The rooms were all older and needed updates, but the room was very clean and the beds/pillows were as comfortable as some very high-end hotels. I will, and already have, recommend this hotel to friends and family looking for a budget-friendly hotel in the heart of St. Augustine.
