Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI have stayed at this lovely inn before, and I will definitely stay again. The beds are always very comfortable and the rooms are unique. Charmingly historic without crossing over into stuffy. You cannot beat the price for the area.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was definitely lacking. It consisted of muffins, poptarts, breakfast bars, and microwave oatmeal. Being on the fourth floor meant 53 steps. It would've been nice to get a warning. The heat on the fourth floor was almost unbearable.
The location was convenient and the b&B was beautiful.

United States of AmericaThere were times when the room was a little hot. We were not able to control the heat. I think I also would’ve liked it if someone was on duty at the desk all evening. That said, the staff I did encounter or pleasant and helpful.
I stayed at this location because I was looking for an experience that would be different from staying at a standard hotel. I liked the location. This room was exactly as advertised and what I was expecting.

United States of AmericaPillows were not very comfortable- filled with plush fiber that offer no support, so woke up a lot, otherwise it was lovely! In the morning the street side made it hard to sleep in, although can't recall if I requested a quiet side or not.
loved accessibility, proximity to parking, T, food. the mini breakfast bar is always clutch, and check-in/out procedures were smooth. plenty of towels, TP, mini fridge and desk- all while still keeping the old charm of this building!

IrelandWe sat outside for our breakfast. The outdoor seating area was very disappointing. Our feet were on dried muck, no bark coverage. Benches were very unsteady. As this is the only place to eat breakfast apart from our room, 3 floors up this was disappointing. It wouldn't take much to make this area more appealing.

United States of AmericaCould use another step down from the bathroom. My husband has a very startling stumble out of the bathroom in the middle of the night due to the size of the step and poor visibility. Also, some cream of whole milk for the coffee would have been nice. Just something other than 1%. I’m just knit picking though.
The room was gorgeous and wayyyy bigger than I expected. I chose this hotel because it was cheap so, my exceptions were pretty low. Huge bay window and beautiful old world feel. Authentic vintage encyclopedia set on the bookshelf. What a appeared to be a vintage globe and a unique fire place(not for guest, obviously.)

United States of AmericaThe parking, if the other two spots don't park correctly, you can't fit into the space you paid for. They did give me a parking pass for street parking, but still. I also didn't like how the bed slanted, I felt like I might roll off the bed.
I liked the building and location.

CanadaThe building is rather old, and the common spaces could be cleaner. My bed was also quite creaky, making it difficult to get a good rest. Lastly, while the hotel is reasonable, I think charging more the $300 a night for a small room with a separate bathroom in an old brownstone is simply too expensive. Maybe that’s just how it is in Boston.
The location is great (close to the green line, BU, an H Mart, restaurants and cafes). The bathroom is large and nice, despite being disconnected from the unit. Everything went smoothly with my check-in. The breakfast consists of a reasonable selection of pastries: I see other reviews complain about it, but I’ve certainly seen worse even in chain hotels in the US. And it’s included in the room rate.

The woman of the housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. I think that many other hotels would like to have an employee like here. The building is fabulous with a victorian style. I liked it.
