Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe “resort fee” is ridiculous and they should either up their nightly rate for transparency or get rid of it.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast option which comes with the room is delicious BUT the organization could be a bit more efficient. . . Would that make it less "French"???
Room was clean, spacious and sound proof from the street noises. Hotel staff were very knowlegeable and accomodating of my requests. I would book there agein.

United States of AmericaThe elevator is SO tiny. If you are claustrophobic I would definitely ask for a lower level so you can use the stairs. The Wifi was not working when we got back from our event and the desk clerk was short with me when I called to inquire. I ended up having to set up a hot spot on my phone. The TV user interface and selection feels like it’s from 1995.
Beautiful historic building with an art deco aesthetic. The lobby smells absolutely amazing but the woman at the desk didn’t know what the scent was. The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast voucher ($10 at the bakery in the building) lasts into the afternoon so that’s nice for late risers! The location was excellent.

United States of AmericaI would have liked a coffeemaker and a microwave inside my room. I had to wait in line at the bakery downstairs, when they were busy. But it wasn't a big deal.
I loved the location and the charm of the hotel! Central Park is within walking distance. The walk brought us through charming neighborhoods with beautiful architecture. There are also restaurants nearby. We walked to Bare Burger, Amsterdam Ale House, and the Gelato Factory. The hotel's restaurant and bakery are wonderful, and we appreciated the vouchers to those provided by the Hotel BelleClaire. I highly recommend The roasted chicken at Allure, and the chocolate croissant at charming French bakery downstairs. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a late flight, and they kept our luggage safe for us so we could enjoy some attractions on our last day after checkout. The bellman took care of getting us a taxi from the hotel to the airport, which was nice. I would definitely stay at Hotel BelleClaire again, and will recommend it to my friends and family!

United States of AmericaThe location was excellent. We walked to some things and used local transportation for others. Staff was amazing and very helpful. The rooms are very small (typical for the city) but we weren't in them much so it didn't matter. The shower was awesome... roomy, clean, and great water pressure. Nice beds and clean bedding. The French bakery downstairs was such a bonus. We received breakfast vouchers for every day and enjoyed the most delicious pastries! I traveled with my daughter and two young granddaughters (9 and 14) and we were very happy with our stay.

United States of AmericaThe facilities are a bit dated, the rooms were small, and the services were somewhat limited. But it was well priced that weekend and we really have no complaints.
This hotel provides a good alternative to the chains in an excellent location. We stayed there because it was close to where our relatives live and that worked out well. It's a good facility close to the many attractions on the Upper West Side.

IsraelThe breakfast concept was not convenient enough - having to stand in a long line each morning at the bakery next door in order to receive the food in a take away format with no comfortable way to eat. The pastries were great but the lack of other choices was problematic. Also the lifts are small and slow.
The team was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was small but very clean and pleasant, the bed was very comfortable. Great location.

United States of AmericaWe asked for a room with more than one small window, but we ended up with a small window and dark room after being told our request would be noted in our reservation. The bathroom sink was so small we couldn't put toiletries on the counter, and there were no water glasses only cheap plastic cups. There was no coffee maker and the line to the bakery was always very long and not convenient. For the cost, a few more touches would have been nice.
The exterior of the hotel and the staff were great. The guest wine hour was a nice touch as well as the breakfast vouchers each day.

United States of AmericaThe room was way smaller than advertised. Booked a Delixe King which was advertised as 215 sq. feet and there was no space for my suitcase and no luggage rack. I had to put it on the floor blocking the door because I needed to use the desk and the closet was too small. The picture was very misleading. The walls are also very thin, I could hear other guests in their rooms. I will not be staying here again
