The whole amount of our stay was pre-authorized days before our arrival, what made us incur in bank charges. This was contrary to the payment terms agreed and generated us extra work. Our arrival was chaotic. We were mandated to wait for 30 minutes as the staff was having dinner (not pleasant after a 14 hour flight) even though the reception claims to be 24/7. I sent a message days before warning of our arrival time to prevent any situation, yet it happened. When she checked us in, she didn't have a clue about how to run the system. It is very unusual to spend 45 minutes in reception for such a simple task. On first day we didn't have hot water. Second day lights were out a couple of times. The hotel is not renovated and it is easy to see. It serves it purpose and some staff (especially the guy at night) are cooperative, but the standard is low.

It is very central and in a calm area (back streets down to Market is the Tenderloin with its fentanyl problems though, so be aware of this). Downtown is just a couple blocks away, so it is public transportation, 24/7 diners and some nice restaurants, or a mall. Basically, it is easy to access services.

The pillows were pretty sad. Very flat and only one pillow each given. I wish there were a couple of pillows provided, like a thin one and a fluffy one.

Easily walkable to the train station and cable cars to connect to other parts of the city. Lots of restauratns and china town nearby. Felt safe. Room was simple, but all as expected. Mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. Wifi was very good. Parking costs extra but it was the cheapest parking rate by a lot that we saw while walking around nearby.

For its price, this hotel is a pretty decent option. The only downside is that the rooms close to the elevator shaft are very noisy. You can literally hear when the elevator moves up or down every time, and it's annoying at night. The staff was friendly and helpful, though they provided keys to rooms already occupied a few times, invading the privacy of guests. The room was clean and spacious. Overall, it's an okay place to stay if you don't mind some trade-offs.

I wish the shower has a hose and maybe a mini fridge. And even though I didn't need a microwave, maybe one near the ice machine would help guests.

Hotel is great. Needs a little updating. Unfortunately the area is over run with drug addicts and homelessness. However, that has no reflection on the Hotel. It's the issue in the ENTIRE CITY!

No room service which meant I had to come down for everything including to get a heater for my room since the existing one has limitations to its functionality. My biggest peeve was water. There is no drinking water provided in the room. Hope the hotel is able to provide atleast 1 bottle or a water station. It gets annoying to run outside for water time and again. Overall not really a problem but some areas of improvement.

Receptionist was great and supportive. Overall facility is a simple one with no frills but is decent for a couple of nights. Rustic touch with interiors which I liked a lot! Access to key areas like union square or cable car stops which are a very short walk from the hotel! Very good location.

Room is a bit running down. No power point next to the bed. Staff are generally nice but there was one staff didnt even bother to open the doors for guest back from outside even after a minute. I was the one helped to open the door from inside as i was happened in the lobby at that moment. Staff was in the office and didnt bother to answer me nor the guest outside the building

The property was clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Good location, close to everything and no sketchy people nearby. The room was small but was able to cater our needs and it was a good value for our money.
