The tub did not drain well at all and when we arrived there was no at the front desk. After waiting or 10-15 minutes we called the front desk and someone came out from the back right away.

The pillows were very flat and the coffee maker needed three runs of water before I stopped seeing mold in the cup.

Great value for the location. We could see the Field and Shedd from our window. It was an easy walk to the Red Line.

check in was quick and easy. Could tell the room was older, but very neat and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was on the small side, but clean!

Rooms a little outdated and smallish. Beds a little hard. Bathroom fan not able to be switched off, so noisy all the time.

Close to public transport, a little out of the main attractions, but transport close by to get to all attractions quickly. Breakfast Cafe next door. Free coffee in lobby.

No hot water in the shower. Seems to be a thing with Best Western hotels. Will probably pick a different hotel chain for future travels.

Time for updates to wallpaper in bathrooms our chair was broken and needed cleaning.

Loved the location off Michigan and 11th. It was close to many places downtown Chicago. Bus and train lines nearby as well.

While it was really nice to have a breakfast included it was mostly just prepackaged foods - it does seem like they are doing some renovations so this may be why. Our shower was a little tricky to get going. Not sure if this was just our room or a hotel wide situation.

The location was great as was the price - we were attending a conference at the Hilton and this was very close and a much more affordable property for us. It was nice to have the breakfast in the morning as well as tea and coffee available all day.

The Bad: The facilities are in desperate need of not just a remodel but routine maintenance The Ugly: The Bathroom:. My shower took about 5 minutes to run before it got hot water. The water didn't drain well and took another 10-15 minutes to drain every 5 minutes of water used. This resulted in taking a shower in ankle deep ice cold water every time. The walls and ceilings of the shower are showing long term major signs of structural damage such as warping, deep cracks, and water damage. The entire bathroom walls which are dark wallpaper, where covered in white stains of some kind. Appears to be dry wall repairs that where never cleaned up or left stains. The Rest of the room: really old carpet,. fraying badly, worn out. Found garbage under the bed. Disappointing breakfast ( packaged granola bars basic). Loud parking garage exit alarm every morning starting at around 5am I could hear on the 5th floor with the windows closed. Although a low cost option for the area i would not stay here again as other hotels in the facility are only slightly more expensive.

The good: I stayed here for a week. Great Staff, extremely helpful with everything. Helped me with mail and storing my luggage among other things. Probably the only nice thing about this hotel. Bed was comfortable and the heater in the room worked well. The location is good and it's easy to get on the Chicago light rail system with the exception of the Blue line to the airport.

Very 'tired' looking facilities, really needs a lot of TLC injected into it. They advertise ' continental breakfast ' which consisted in cereal muslie bars, a pottle of yogurt, packet juice and fresh banana & oranges. No plates 2 use, and no seating area except the hotel lobby seating- very weird set up

Fantastic location/ Proximity to downtown loop. Good value for money. Clean & tidy Staff friendly enough for the most part
