Had a great stay here - good location for both visiting downtown and La Jolla, free parking and comfortable rooms. Nothing exceptional, but definitely a good place to stay when visiting San Diego.

The service was terrible. Rude staff and no hot water for a day. We couldn’t check in until 5:30 but they kept saying they were working on it.

Location is amazing, parking next to room, close to all you want to see in San Diego. Pool area and hot tub well maintained and used by us happily. Interior a bit older than expected like but nothing unacceptable and compensated by outdoors.

It's time for some maintenance/renovations my room definitely needed to be cleaned better Also the carpet needs to be deep cleaned or removed

Coffee maker was broken and had to wait till 7am for coffee at front desk which was a walk just for coffee and I never got a replacement as I was told I was going to get

The only thing that fell short was the cleanliness of the room. There was no inviting scent that would have been the cherry on top especially as it’s so close and open to the ocean.

The best thing about the property was that it was close to everything and very private and peaceful.

Some of the furnishings are very outdated. The hotel is spread out quite a bit so if you are with other guests be sure to ask to be near each other.

Location is excellent with beautiful surroundings. The room is a little small when two people are trying to get around each other in the room and have to wait for one another. The bathroom and supplies were clean and nice. The staff were very nice. We ate at the restaurant a few times and liked it.

We were on the first floor. There was a huge gap in the door between the door and the door jam both on the hinge side of the door and the bottom of the door.. There was enough of a gap that something small like a mouse or a lizard could get through - nothing did thank goodness. Humidity in the room was very high - maybe even a little musty.

The location was very good. Close to airport, short taxi ride to estate. Walking area accross the street from the hotel. We ate at the restaurant and it was VERY good. Scenery and marina were beautiful

Room needs a bit of a refurbishment. Wallpaper peeling. Not enough light in bathroom. Could not use our own roku with tv.

The kitchen was a little outdated...

The place was very quiet and nice. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub. Nice view from the window. The toiletries were really good by the shower :)

Room was quite small and outdated. I saw that some rooms were being renovated, so I guess they are improving.

Location is superb, beautiful views on the bay and the marina, close enough to any SD attraction and La Jolla. Staff was amazing, everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Uncomfortable chair Desk chair wouldn't go up. Was too low. The 2 queen beds fill the room. If the beds were full or twin, there would be room for a nice seating area with 2 comfy chairs.

The outside doors of the Casa Del Mar did not fall into the lock, so anybody from the street could walk into the building.

We were given a “marina view” room which was more of a “parking lot view with hints of marina if you turn your neck is just the right way.” The floors are very thin and you could hear every step by the people above us.

Property was conveniently located a short car ride from downtown San Diego. Pool was nice and view is scenic.
